3 days to the big class reunion ... and, I'm still on the fence about whether or not to go. It's a considerable expense. And, I've ruled out getting a room ($186/per night), which excludes overindulgence of spirits, since I'll have to drive home both nights.

I'm in and out right now. I reformatted the backup hard drive on my desktop machine and now I'm loading Windows XP on it.
Well, if I stay at a hotel in town, where it is less expensive by a hundred bucks, I'd have to drive 10 miles. Not gonna do that with a BAL which may exceed 0.08%, that's a couple beers in an hour. I live 17 miles from the event.
Ooo, I don't really envy you Jerry. When I have to restore my system, it takes me a couple week's of spare time to get everything back to the way I like it. Good luck!
Are you doing a short or long reformat? The long ones do take a long, long time. I usually only save those for when I drop a machine, which is almost never.
Hmm...dilemma...I would either not drink and drive home or live it up and stay right there...same choices you're pondering. I might even leave it to the night, see what happens...
Hey, I guess I could pretend I'm 18 years old and crash in the smart, LOL. But, I think the hotel security might have a problem with that, heh.
OR, I could do like I did last time, and sleep on a beach chair, even though I'd paid megabucks for a room.
