I did the full reformat, Jag. I wanted to find out if it was Windows or the computer that's screwed up, it's the computer. I can't complain though, the mother board is over 7 years old. I guess it's time to put it out of it's misery. LOL

It still works on the internet though, on the main drive, but that's about all it's working for.

I'm on a 12 yr old Dell, had to replace the fan due to very annoying noise. I don't know how many more years I'll get out of it, but the plan is to replace it. A new one is only about $250 and up...not counting the monitor. Heck, that doesn't even cover getting my teeth cleaned!!

This one is a Dell, but it's seen a lot of use. It's a 3 mHz machine and I have really enjoyed using it. The one that I plan to replace it with, is one that I built a couple of years ago. It's a 2 mHz machine, so it will do, I hope. Otherwise I will have to buy a new one, since I really don't feel like building one right now.

I find it's a lot less trouble to just get one. By the time you add up all the parts and time spent on it...

Exactly, Jag. I wanted the experience of building one, so I did. When I added up the cost though, it was just as expensive as buying one and a lot more work involved.
