This morning I awoke to a desktop filled with icons for every picture I have downloaded recently. Some were version 2, some went up to 17? I deleted them all and they came right back. I ran Norton and it showed nothing. I ran spybot and it showed a trojan. Desktop is now picture free. Hope it stays that way -- what a pain!

Careful where you get those pics to post, Sun. Some sites do have virus. Your Norton is protecting you online, right? And regularly updates its virus list? I'm not sure if it catches Malware/spyware too. Give puter a thorough scan today.
If you get tired of paying for Norton, you can download AVG Anti-virus or another free one at Cnet.com.

i saw that many many years ago, it did not happen to me but the person who did it told me it happened trying to move a picture from one folder to another, i cleaned the desktop and it was ok , if you spybot clean the error it shouldn't happen again

I'm off to a cook out in just a little while.....it'll be fun once i get there, but i kind of wish that "i can't make it because i want to stay home and be lazy and anti-social" was an acceptable excuse.
