The HOUSE always wins, Hermano...in any language.

I was thinking about you today. So jealous! Glad your Kitty didn't get whacked!Considering..... not too much debris although some of it is big and will have to be hauled down into the woods... It is interesting the things that turned over and that didn't! The wind is such a picky thing.....
When did I cross into 4 thousand posts![]()
A mellow piece...lyrics below video on YT.
I was thinking about you today. So jealous! Glad your Kitty didn't get whacked!Hope you have enjoyed the storm.
The Jacksonville area has had a charmed past with regard to Hurricanes (as I'm sure you know). Forty eight years since Hurricane Dora, and since Beryl was not a full blown hurricane, the charm hasn't yet been broken.
Also noteworthy ... 2012 is the first year since 1908 (104 years) that two named tropical systems have developed prior to the official start of Hurricane Season on June 1st. Could be an active year. Active years may be the new norm.
Have you heard it before? Doobie fan?![]()
I have the albumI was at boarding school when the Doobies were most popular and we listened to them all the time.
I kind of prefer them before Michael McDonald, didn't like his voice that much. I liked the older songs like South City, Listen to the Music, Jesus is Just Alright, etc.
eta: they have some great, signature guitar riffs, i.e. Without Love & China Grove.
Too bad you had to work, you could have come and stayed for it as it sounds like you too love them.. I LOVE storms, especially electrical storms. I wonder if that is what led me into the development of a meteorology course? All the while growing up if it was raining I was out there with an umbrella stomping in the puddles. Mama and I would sit on the couch in front of the picture window and watch the lightning storms and oooh and aaah. If you are anywhere around when we have the next one come on over. Just bring a few horses so we can get out lol.
Sorry -- I've been having a "duh" moment listening to different Doobie songs lol.
