I was in the car, keeping the engine running to charge the battery. DW got them. Besides, a stamp is just a stamp, right?

So it'll be Christmas all year. Speaking of which, the Dow Jones Industrial average hit 14,000 and the S&P 500 is at 1,500. When everyone rushes back into stocks (not quite yet), that's when the pros will cash out.

DH just told me about the stock market increase. So.... are you going to cash out???

I think the S&P can go to 1,600....finally. But no, I don't "time" the market, may reduce my stocks a little bit, but where would I put the money? The bond market is at the tail end of a 33 year bull market...pays hardly any dividend.

You and jj...don't think I know what I'm doing!! I only bat 500 with investments. It zigs when I think it'd zag. I only change my "allocation" at the margins, 5% - 10% in or out.

It's time in the markets, not timing the market.
