Want to experiment with hydroponics too. From a book I found, all you need are grow lights and special supplements you add to the water. I want me some watercress and to do some smaller plants like herbs - the rest I can put in the yard. Was just curious if you've ever tried it. Do you and DW have anything planted?
We have experimental systems all over the house and yard!! My favorite is the aquaponics system that includes fish!! Plants love fish poop!!

Yeah, I know, I used to buy fish emulsion for my indoor plants. Now I zap them with energy, lol.

Yeah, I know, I used to have 10 acres in Cave Jct, OR on the Caves Hwy on the way to the Caves National Monument, and the deer or my toddler daughter would eat my garden before I could harvest from it. My DD used to come in the house with onion breath, and she was busted! lol. I didn't even have to feed her, could have just sent her out to the garden with a salt shaker.
