Between 43 and 53, it gives me a whole decade to play with.
Cooked lunch and prepped 3 dishes, spinach, Napa cabbage and mini cucumbers. Lunch break.

Today was a busy day. Did not sleep last night until I finally posted that Nutcracker video. I turned up the volume and lay on the couch and dozed right off - so comforting. But then the alarm went off at 7:00 so I could run to Wally world and get a few bags of food for Jett and Jonesy before I met Jett's daddy near the airport to send her back home with him. I know they are having financial struggles and I wanted to make sure the kittens eat well.
The most awful thing happened in the walmart while I was getting their food. A woman in a wheelchair was on the aisle next to me and she started coughing this horrible gurgling cough. It is making me gag right now just to think of it. I could hear her sucking snot down into her lungs and then she would try to hack it out. Well, you guessed it. I got sick, and started heaving until I couldn't breathe. She hears me and comes around the corner of the aisle and I'm like head down, trying to wave her away, and she's just sitting there watching me, gurgling, trying to hack up that nasty ..... I finally pulled a Meryl Streep and started saying, "Go, Go!!!!!" She left and I was finally able to get myself under control and then go get paper towels to clean up my little mess. That's another good reason for shopping early -- less people to witness your humiliation.
I had a satisfying nap today and finally got up as a tremendous rainstorm was calling for me to come out in it to drain some water off the pool. So, here I sit, waiting to run back out into it again....

I would have left the immediate vicinity, just saying. Lean back, relax, and listen to some music so you don't hear that sound effect again.

Yeah, just noticed it. It was a pink blur before. I'm very slow.
Haven't started cleaning yet, just cooking. Got 3 more dishes ready for dinner. Chicken's mostly gone, pork chops tomorrow.
I would have left had I the time, but my reflex kicks in immediately when I smell or hear something that grosses me out. No time to run lol. Thanks heavens I only had some coffee in me....

I saw.... cucumbers.... love them. Very nice thinly sliced on whole wheat with a thin spread of mayo and a thin spread of deviled ham, salt and pepper.... try it some time - you should like that.

Crispy cucumber + ham + mayo, can't go wrong. Anything tastes better with mayo.
