I need some help from some of you ladies & gents who have a lot of experience in freezing food. I want to make a large pot of healthy chicken noodle soup for when I dont feel like cooking. Does anyone know if you can freeze noodles w/o them getting all disintegrated and mushy? Please and thank you.

this may not be the end all but most of my nooddle dishes fair well if in liquid for 6 months,i even freeze fresh advocado in regular tupaware for 6 months and it works well

:D

Oh, you wouldn't believe how exciting it was!! DH fell asleep on the couch (I don't blame him, he had a very long day) so I played some WWF, took care of the mutts, took a shower, and tried to catch a cute little mouse that my cats pointed out to me :?:  Unfortunately, the mouse could run/dart faster than I. I had closed the cats out of the room so they couldn't nab him. I know y'all probably think I am crazy...but I don't like to see any critters killed

Mice and rats multiply like....rabbits! See Sun's post below. If you see one, there are more. The diminutive couple and their family could produce hundreds in a flash!!

I know you don't, but don't let him stay in there long or he will find something to make a nest with. I had one make a nest out of the edge of an oriental carpet I had stored in a closet. The rug was ruined. The next day the barn cats came to live in my house for a few days, and that was that.

It's when the whole family moves in!! :glare:

Hi, Jag .....isn't Saturday bath day......? :D

I shower every day. :?: Oh, you said bath.

Something to keep away the afternoon slump!:D

I didn't know women were allowed to show their panties when they danced way back in the Rita Hayworth days. I thought everything was extremely prim and proper. Really enjoyed this lively dance ... someone did a great job editing this together, and it's a lively one. Rita Hayworth was a beautiful woman.

Those were "dancing" panties/shorts, Sea, and were meant to be shown like swimwear, but no, throughout history, people were just as amorous as we are. ;)

Great editing! :thumb:

Aloha and thanks PHR. LOL, I've never heard of freezing an avocado ... sounds good for when my grocer runs a 10 for $10 on avocados. Do you have to cut them and spritz w/lemon juice first? I use a sandwich back to wrap, and then reinforce with heavier freezer bags that I rinse and re-use.

I have a tree and am a big time snob of my fruit, my new house now has the variety i love best(its a florida not watery and is butter, like love butter. My old house had 7 tropical fruits, and learned to not plant water pig trees(jabaticata, lychee, starfruit, etc) now i have a advovado, longhon, guava.I really loved my trees but found hand watering a pain, the frozen was a touch better with drip of lime

PS- not really love butter ,but I believe the first episodeor one of the first, of csi miami, sun glass sezy redheaded someone david .Is one if not the only product of florida worth buying is owen tupelo honey

I love avocado. The health gurus call them god's butter. Guava is supposed to be a miracle food for diabetics, but IDK what a longhon is. Oh, yeah, lime would work. Now that I think of it, I used to buy frozen packs of pure guacamole at Costco, and it was always true to color.

I love all tropical fruits. Avocados get huge in the tropics!

If it's longan, it's a fruit related to lychee.

Long-An means dragon's eye! I used to eat them on the tree.

As I was saying...ladies have been dancing in these outfits for centuries, initially for society elites. :D

I dint know tutus were old, thought they were from the modern more present times. Yep, I remember now when I was about 5, my mom took me to Los Angeles with a tour to see some famous ballet group on ice. My mom started me in ballet class - didnt care for it much. Wish she would have started me in singing classes instead so I would never have started smoking, but instead it was 5 yrs of private piano and 3 yrs of grade school clarinet.

As a young child, I think I was asked if I was interested in violin lessons. I shook my head then. Wish I had learned some instrument.

The word tutu itself gave a clue. From wiki:

The word 'tutu' has its origins in the theatre audience. Those who bought cheaper tickets sat in a section located in the lower part of the theatre. This area gave the patrons sitting there a different view than the rest of the audience; they could often see under the ballerinas' skirts and see their bottoms. This led to a lot of talk and eventually, the French slang word for this part of the ballerina, "cucu," became "tutu."

I played violin for a year, but lost interest b/c I loved the clarinet and was pretty good at it.

My brother was a gifted musician and picked things up quickly without much practice. He was first violin, second seat with an Honors Orchestra. On the piano, he was always chosen to play duets at public school performances with the principal of the grade school. I, OTOH struggled with music and had to practice for hours a day to memorize anything, which my teacher demanded. My progression was at a snail's pace.

Now you ... with your poetry and some of your interests would have done well with a right-brained interest you probably would have mastered quickly. It's not too late, Jag, and now you have plenty of time ... maybe rent something first to see if it's what you're looking for. How about a piano, clarinet or harp?

Dancing is your passion. ;)

Yeah, I thought about it, almost got one of those piano learning keyboards. I like the sax, piano and guitar. I'm not so sure I'm so right brain oriented, did computer programming for a living and I was good at it, like to crunch numbers.

Thank you. If the urge gets strong enough, I will get into it. My problem is I get bored with things easily.

I'll chat ya later, PHR and Jag. I need to go to the store to get some soup ingredients for the oncoming week and freshen my salad veggies storage.

Jag, I still think you might enjoy a nice ballroom tutorial you could enjoy with your little sweetie. It would refresh your usual laughter and joy in your home. I doubt that you would get bored while you two were touching and snuggling during the dance steps - no telling what dance you could spontaneously choreo for urselves.;)

L8r ............ :)
