I've never eaten snake, but I have eaten Alligator. It's big in Cajunland. It was tasty the way it was prepared, in like hamburger style, , but it was like chewing on a Goodyear Tire... it wouldn't go away. The Squid I had once was even worse. At least the Alligator was kinda ground up.

Eewwwwwwwwww...squid. Hope to never eat that again. It's like chewing on rubber with it getting slimier by the bite. Thought I would hurl for sure.

I wanted to open a thread for you there, I am not sure what to tell, i need a research about your preferences so Hermanito is the right person to open your thread :)

The Vets forum is just another forum, except...veterans. :lol: I could have started the beach there, but I didn't want to leave out non-vets, so came to the Lounge.

the merits goes to the cook, they may taste good if the chef knows how to do it

It was my first Duty Station in the Navy. A friend's wife made it for dinner, and he brought some for lunch the next day. He asked if I wanted to try it. I said OK. He cut a small piece (that took like forever to do - should have had a clue, but I didn't). He was Italian, but his wife was not. She was no Cook, either. :lol: The sauce was good, but that little chunk of squid took 30 minutes to get chewed up enuf to swallow.

They didn't do it right. You're supposed to tenderize it first and make halfway diamond cuts, etc, etc. It's very tender if done well. :)

From pork 98% of the time, the other 2 percent from chicken, i do not make more from chicken because they dont sell the plain chicken skin in the markets

Why not buy a chicken, skin it, and use All of it?

Oh, believe me when I say... I knew it wasn't done right!!! :lol: I think she boiled the snot out of it. Yup... no Snot, just very Tough!!!
