I agree. I put in ornamental cabbage and kale (with the red/pink, white, and gray/blue color) and have color right up to Christmas. Only thing is you have to pull them out before Christmas..... if the ground freezes solid and everything gets covered with snow, you will have a nice rotting sulfur smell to greet your guests as they come to the front door in March. Personal experience.
