Hello Beachers,
Sorry I had to miss y'all tonight. I went out to help a customer with a Wireless Router. I thought it would be a quickie, but it turned into an all-nighter. We had to go to BestBuy to buy a new Wireless Router, and then get it installed for her iPad that she was given after her Laptop died (at the same time as the Router - she doesn't have a UPS, even though I've told her time and time again that she needs one). I just got home.
Campi,
I made this last night after your post . . .
... so Thanks again for that.
The nylon cord around the bulb area keeps the gooseneck arm from bending down into the soapy water, while the one around the switch area keeps the bulb pointed in a better direction, though it's a little too much (I can adjust it). You can't really see it that well, but the cord around the switch is actually around the metal threaded shaft of the switch itself, and not the turn knob, so it's secure and safe. It's very sturdy the way it clamps on to the bowl, so Cadeau cannot knock it off. It's at the foot of the bed.
It only caught two of the little BassTurds with a regular 40W bulb, so I was going to get an Infrared Bulb for it while I was out, but by the time I was finished, Lowe's was closed. I'll get one tomorrow. The Fleas weren't as bad today, as I only got about 30 off of Cadeau in the time I had to work with her today (much better than 200, huh?), and she only jumped up out of her sleep twice last night. So my efforts are helping, but I know it's gonna take a while still to get rid of all of them. Since I couldn't get the Infrared Bulb today, I'll put in a regular 60W Bulb tonight and see how that does. Even if it only gets 2 more, that will save hundreds from hatching later.
