LOL, Tink ... you need your family's support ... IOW, they need to prepare their own food. You don't need to even smell the aroma of it cooking ... go out and get a couple of bags of those Christmas pinecones thickly coated with cinnamon oil and glitter so you don't smell food. Do your exercise outside while they eat ... like a trip to the gym for a sauna (toxins removal) or a 12-block hike with your pup (24-block RT) ... strolling, not speed walking.

Maybe stay out of your sons rooms where they prolly have yummy bag of Cheetos, jerky, pnuts and chips hanging around their computer desks.;) Seriously, though, after day 4, it should be easier for you (even around food). Remember how things got better after day 4 when you stopped smoking?

Happy Saturday to the Beach!

Glam, I'm thinking about you today.

Thanks, Sea. I'm hoping I make it to day 4   So far I'm still determined. The intense headache I had from yesterday to this morning eased off after my morning drink. I am still having a coffee (black :() in the mornings, so that also may have helped my H/A. I usually drink 4-5 cups of coffee a day… I probably had a caffeine withdrawal + hunger H/A.
I told my 18-yr old that you had said they better be careful around me because of mood swings. The little chit said "well, swing yourself into the kitchen and make me some food". He was just kidding, of course.

You're already almost past day 2, Tink ... that's awesome!:) That little chit of yours would probably snap food out of your hands if you tried to cheat, so it sounds like your family is doing well with it.

Were you able to find a fruit suitable to sufficiently sweeten the greens in the juice? I love pears, so I favor those and then apples.

Good for you on the coffee. It actually is a health food (if it's drank black) b/c it increases antioxidants in the blood (what scientists call "plasma antioxidant capacity)" I did the same thing, but I only have one cup of it in the morning ... lol, gotta go make some so i don't get a headache. I've recently switched to hot lemon ginger tea in the a.m. and keep forgetting to keep the coffee up.

Trivia and TMI: A study in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry (2001) found that coffee has significantly more total antioxidant activity than either cocoa, green tea, black tea, or herbal tea.

Good luck, (((Tink)))! We're ALL watching you!:D

I started a liquid only diet once... I only lasted one day. Of course my liquid of choice was beer.:D

Why does this NOT surprise me.

  At least you were drunk enough not to know you were starving ;)

This true but is Pepper drinking low cal beer?!!!

Good luck Tink. :)

Glam, when you see this, I've been thinking of you all day and praying for Stefanie, You, and you family, just like I said I would in my PM.

I was wondering if anyone was going to show up.

Busy busy day VG?

Son is here so I'm lurking anyway.

Hi JJ.

Yes, very busy day. I've been painting all day, and lugging junk from storage sheds to the street for garbage pickup.

I'm around ..... kind of

Hello Dearest.

No one shot the Flare Gun or Banged the Gong. What's Up with That?

FYI:

Of the PMs I sent out about our new beach, I heard back from Billie today (early this morning). She said she'd subscribed to the link I sent her. I was hoping to have seen her here today, too, but I feel confident she'll be along when she has time.

Dale, do you remember Billie (Hillbillie) from before?

Billie is a sweet heart I met in a contest thread. She joined us for a good while, but had to stop coming when the school year started. You should get to meet her before long.

I'm being paid for this work, Dale, and I work when there's work to do, whatever it is. I have a little home-based business doing computer repairs, but it's always been a roller coaster, and this time of year is often slow. I do things to make up for that as I can. So while I'm tired and a bit achy, it's been a good day. :)

Well as long as you're satisfied ;)
I've got a good friend who does computer work too and he's either tied up or doing nothing :)
Hello Dearest. Thought we already did that. :D These things get by me sometimes, too.
We may have ... I forget pretty quickly!

Yup, feast or famine it seems. A lot of people these days feel it better/cheaper to just buy a new PC. They don't know how wrong they are.

That's really only a valid choice if the computer is an older Win XP machine or maybe Windows Vista, but I can upgrade many Vista PCs for much less that a new one, and put Win 7 on it, making it run a whole lot faster. But when you don't even get the opportunity to explain this, then they just go get something that may be new, but doesn't perform as well as what they had, because they don't get a decent processor and/or enough RAM. The way that PCs are marketed has changed drastically, and if you don't know what you're looking at by the markings on the box, you're gonna get something you really don't want, thinking you're getting a great deal. They don't realize, you get what you pay for.
