I feel quite fortunate that I get to be a guest rather than have them.

It's kinda like Grandkids... you can send them home when you've had enough fun.

Well I guess I had my share of being the guest in the past.

As for the GK's, you got that right ... so much fun!!!

Well, it's something of a grandparent's job to spoil them a little (if you ask me, and you didn't). Some of us do it to make up for things we couldn't/didn't do for our kids when they were young, and some because they are older and wiser now, but filling them full of sugar to send them home is rather vengeful. Plus, it can backfire on you if the parents are running late.

What's also vengeful sometimes is buying battery operated toys for Christmas and Birthdays that make all kinds of obnoxious noises. Some people may think of it as Paybacks. Not only with that dang Noise, but with having to repeatedly replace all the batteries!!!

She is a kid and loves ketchup!! We needed a truck load. DD and GD are getting ready for bed. SIL has hibernated to the basement (man cave). Day winding down. Most likely I won't be around in the morning (maybe a flyby hello). Us girls are going swimming!!!

Was having wonderful relaxing day and then my brat called ... she once again(!) bit off more than she can chew during the holidays. She called all whiney and begging me to come help her ... boo hoo ... mommy please. I told her I would rather relax for the day.

Then she dropped the happy bomb ... "Mom, I'm working on the Marine base." WooHoo ... I raced to the shower and was over there within a half hour.

We have a special celebration coming up in two days!


Our Starry Girl will turn to a 3-year Vet AND have her birthday.

And she's doing it on Thanksgiving and the first day of Hannukah!
