No percocet, but I keep a stash of Cuprofen Plus from the UK. I stock up every time I'm over there, have a friend over there stockpile for me, and have hubs get it on his trip. It's Ibuprofen with a very low amount of codeine. You can still get codeine OTC there. Well, it's not on the open shelf.....it's on a shelf behind the counter. You ask for it and the chemist (pharmacist) gives you verbal instructions in a very pleasant manner. They only give you one package at a time. So, I go back every day and make sure it's a different person at the counter!!! The stuff works. It helped me get through the first shoulder surgery where I had nerve damage....after the prescriptions ran out.

I love being able to get cough syrup with codeine. Really upset me when I couldn't anymore.

Too tired after work to cook tonight or even cut stuff up for a green smoothie. So when I was in the store, I got some potato salad and sesame orange chicken. They had two new kale salads in their bins I was interested in before I took a sample of each. Wow, I can do better with my eyes closed ... home cooking is so much better ... and then they charge $6.99 a pound.

Last Friday I bought some organic spinach, herb salad, baby kale, chard, shredded kale mixture, mesclun, avocados, and an herb mixture to put in my smoothies. I throw in a pear and apple or half a fresh pineapple and berries ... all in a coconut milk base and they are wonderful!

jj, if you don't have a Vitamix or a Blendtec, you'll need to cut your fruits up first. It will still work.

Has anybody put a pomegranate in a blender? Or do I need to juice it first?

That reminds me: I bought some meatless (soy) orange chicken at Trader Joe's in the frozen section today. I thought it might be good over rice for when hubs is out of town next week. I think it's a new item. I've never seen it before.

I'll bet avocado acts like a banana as far as texture is concerned in the smoothies, right?

He does have a mouthpiece that worked for about a year but it has needed to be adjusted for the past year......and he hasn't done it. That uvula just sags more as we get older, I guess. I must have a very toned uvula. He says I don't snore.

You're quite the Mixologist!

It's the only way I can get those 6-8 servings of fruits & veggies in each day, and it usually ends up 8-10. The oil in the avocado and/or coconut milk is good for taking vitamin D with which is better absorbed with oil in the food.

We were, VG. I started the "Where's j0ker" thread, right after ECF j0ker had a "Funny Pics of the Staff" contest. He disappeared after the contest ended, so I started the thread. It was funny in the beginning, with a few members of the staff stopping by and asking for a ransom for his release. LOL
