Today is balmy...tomorrow will be single digit temps, so I won't complain too loudly about today 
The weather people say it will snow here (~ 1/2"). There must be a surplus of bread and milk that needs to be bought 
The only reasons I believe we may get a little snow is because (1) it thundered and lightened here 10 days ago and (2) my birds are eating with a little more gusto than usual. Yes, I believe old wives' tales more than the weather people

Haven't been up too long so I'm still waiting for the brain to decided to function.

I've gotta get cleaned up and ready to hit the road. I recently learned that my eye glasses and hearing are covered, so I'm going in to get a consult to those specialists today.
A friend works at a hearing aid business (she used to own it, but it was bought out by a big chain). I had my hearing checked a while back and she told me there were new hearing aids that could help me. About twenty years ago, I was told there was nothing to be done. She programmed my hearing loss curve into a computer that connected wirelessly to some hearing aids. The computer adjusted our voices to my loss curve when we spoke through a microphone, and she let me hear the difference. I was amazed.
I wrote about this a while back, saying that there are some new hearing devices, some even with a remote control, and a State program I qualified for (with the more basic units). I already applied for that and am on the waiting list, but I want to see if I can get the same kinds of devices through the V.A. Not a remote controlled device, of course, but those are upper-line models of the same thing.
So I'll be in and out today as well.

Those concerts certainly didn't help in my case. 8-o I already had tinnitus, diagnosed from age 17.
