Well...it is a great picture. Even if I am not smart enough to operate it.![]()
This sort of looks like a sleeker, Italian version of a Turkish coffee pot. Is the coffee very finely ground, with just water (no filter) in the top part and the lower part heats it? And then you just decant off the coffee?
I get the aluminum part because it would react with the acids in the coffee over time.
it means how are you going ? how things are going with you ? it is like an idiomatic expression![]()

There is meat in this dish, Lis.![]()
Yes, much stronger. The one I got makes 6 cups... BUT by cups they mean espresso cups (like little teacups you would find in a dollhouse, LOL). You can get a couple of regular-sized cups out of it. Of course, while you are drinking your first cup you could brew another one.
I don't know Cuban but I know Mexican.![]()
I lied - not Turkish.
This is what I was thinking of, with the octagonal shape. It's Italian. This is the old fashioned kind. The bottom part heats it.

I need to learn me some Mexican![]()

You put water in the bottom part and a metal basket filled with coffee sits on top of that. You heat it on the stove and the water heats up, runs through the coffee, goes up a hollow tube and goes into the top part. You do use rather finely ground coffee in it.

OK....info please. Exactly what is this called, and is it easy to use? I would really love a French Press but am too lazy to go to all that work....especially early in the morning.
