I would like recommendations on what I can try next. To me the OBS is a near perfect rta. The only thing I don't care for is the side fill, but then I don't have a top cap that I have to deal with so side fill has it's pros and cons. The biggest pros the OBS has for me is 1-Flavor, 2-It will not leak ever.

Are there any contenders that could challenge this great rta?

I love my Engines and have several of them. That said, when I look for a new RTA, I'm not really looking to reproduce the same design and experience I already have. For me it's what would be a new approach rather than the same.

The Engine wins in three areas, ease of build, excellent flavor, and no leak. I will switch that out with a Limitless+ RDTA for a different type of vape, then maybe a Pharaoh RTA for a different type of vape, and so on (BTW, both of those do supply excellent flavor as well, although not as well as the Engine).

If you want to try something a bit different but performs well maybe the Kylin V2 would be worth looking at, as well as the Exo @mimöschen suggested. The Panagea @Shawn Hoefer likes to looks like a beautiful tank and I expect it would perform just like an Engine, maybe even with better airflow but I don't have one and won't vouch for that.

Great looking tank. 28mm is what I've been looking for too. I just can't get over that price lol

If you are looking for another "can't leak" tank, you could try the UD Athlon, it is also top air so never leaks.
Since I bought it my Engines have been retired, I like the vape style better (tight DL, wetter) and the flavor is darn good. It has normal topfile, a plus for me as I also don't like the side-fill.
It also has a factory coil option, but I have not used those coils yet.
And it has optional extension kit to increase the volume, very handy.
The build deck is smaller, but still I prefer it big time over my Engines.

If you consider it: buy the 4ml version as the 2ml version does not come with the RBA.

I like the suggestions. How does the Kylin V2 differ from the original?

While awaiting correction of my wrong information, best as I can see is it now has a real top fill cap. In V1, if you took the top off to fill, you were looking at the edge of the glass on top. Some folks cared, some didn't.
