The dogwoods were beautiful this week. I'm sure the blooms will probably be hurt by the freeze warning we are having tonight, but i have enjoyed them. The dogwood happens to be the state flower of North Carolina. But the real importance of the dogwood to me is that my mother just loved them. She had them planted at every window of their house. Since her passing, a squirrel got on top of the house and ate one of my dad's vents. It made him mad and I went over there one day and he had cut every single one of them down. Now that sounds like a sad story but it really isn't because I still know mom loved dogwoods but i laugh at the fact that my dad went to so much trouble to cut them down (and dig up the roots) to all those dogwoods just because of a squirrel nibbled on his vent.

I can't decide if I should call the doctor or not. I keep saying I think my swollen gland is getting smaller but my hubby keeps saying it is still the same. I have not had a fever so I think maybe it is getting better. A little more positive thinking on my part.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. I probably won't be around much today because I think I need to do something productive. Haven't decided what yet but I will come up with something. Waiting on the last load of wash right now to dry so I can go to bed. Yes, I said "bed". I'm just tired.
