lol my coworker this morning was just amazed at how I was still at work and functioning this morning....
this crew may not know me, but seems I've already gained half of their respect just from me being me and working all the crazy shifts so they don't have to
lmfao and since i'm back working at the store I was hired in at (worked there 5 1/2 yrs) they are all hearing stories from customers that remember me and the staff is just amazed

this is the first time I've actually worked at a store that I've never worked with anyone before so it's weird because I feel like I'm "home" but it's an all new family and none of them knows my work ethic nor has my reputation preceded me...but slowly they are learning :D

I wish I were tired...but as it's 12:30 my brain is back on in "oh it must be time for work" mode....I so hate swing shifts....my brain and body never know what's going on
but it was nice to finally take a kid free shower :)

sometimes it's nice to just not do anything...but I know what you mean about it wearing you out :) sometimes it seems to take more energy to do actual house work than it does to go to work hehehehe

I so sorry. It is awfully hard. My hubby worked weird shift for years and he couldn't just come home and go to bed. It was impossible for him no matter how tired he was. They say your body gets use to it but his never did. Will you be staying on this shift or changing?

Hope you sleep well when you get sleepy. ;)

i know it sucks switching for day to night and vice versa....best I can say is try to find a common time that you aren't working...
for me...usually sometime between 1pm and 3pm I'm (hopefully) not working and the kids aren't home, so I try to snack and take an hour nap (more if my body lets me) and then before going into work at night I try to get another hour or two nap, if the kids let me....
this way I don't get thrown so far off track from day/night...short naps at somewhat set times have helped me at least not get my days and nights too awfully confused...but then there's days (er nights) like tonight where I worked too many hours yesterday that I'm now still awake at 1am and have to be at work at 6am.....

I'll be on this job for at least 2 more weeks. But then the no7 blast furnace is going down for 3 months and I'll probably be on that job. That job well be possibly 6 days a week 12 hours a day. So it'll be one less day a week than this job is

I only can do short naps anyways. My body won't let me sleep for more than an hour at a time even if I'm exhausted. In actually feeling pretty good today though and tomorrow is payday so I'll feel even better lol
