Not always. But he doesn't stay up half the night like Welsh does.

Nothing much planned...same stuff, different day.

Hehehe! I think they both made new friends for life all thanks to the wonderful world of technology:D

Hopefully there's some relaxing in there somewhere:)

Sorry you didn't get to watch your movie Bobbi:(
I'm waiting for the last one before I start watching at all. I know it's weird but I'm just that impatient & hate cliffhangers. I also won't read the books before watching the movies anymore. I find I'm not as disappointed if I watch the movie first now.

You've had a pretty busy day. I hope you have lots of relaxing on the agenda for tomorrow.

I just got done talking to mom. I'd been considering going home tomorrow morning since I happen to be off & she just told me to save my gas money, get some rest, and buy her an extra gift if I just wanted to spend more money:lol:

I was SO upset with the first Hobbit because I didn't know it was only part of it! When it ended I was throwing a fit like a brat kid. At least this time I know it isn't the end still. I was going to wait but it is one of those things I just can't resist. I started reading it to Dave and Clay when we lived in SE New Mexico and went to town once a month. We needed a new book because they were so "bored" so I decided to read them "The Hobbit" so they would take their naps. When I finished the first chapter I asked questions and they hadn't missed a thing! Clay reads the trilogy at least once a year as do I. Dave doesn't have time between jobs, drawing, kids and whatever else but he still loves it. Clay was even more upset at the 3 part thing than I was. They went to the theater to watch it. He figured it should be fairly calm for a few minutes so headed for the bathroom, when he got back they were running the credits! :( He has promised me when the last one comes out we will get together and start with "The Hobbit" and go through the trilogy of the Rings in a day. I am looking forward to that!:)

I plan to take the kids home and then come back here and relax! I got the DIL a miniature rose bush from the girls and had them make the baskets with tissue flowers so they can do their thing when they get home. I just want to enjoy some quiet time!

Love the way your mom thinks!

Luckily I have a good friend who is obsessed and warned me because he knows how I am about books & movies, especially when the movies have several parts:grr: I think he's read the books several times and talking to him is what got me interested in the first place.

That's what I plan to do when the final one comes out. I'm going to sit & watch everything in order & then go to see the last one.

Oh so that's what you guys were doing with that tissue earlier today:)
My mom loves flowers so my sisters and I got her 2 more Rose bushes for Mother's Day. Plus I sent her some of her favorite Mary Kay products. Hopefully that'll do it. I had to remind her that she has a birthday coming up in July.

If you enjoyed the books you should like the movies. I hate to defend them but, in order not to skip they had to have the extra hours. There is just no way to add that many adventures in one single show! I think they did as well as possible on the first one, there is just so much there!

Yep, we were making flowers to go into their baskets that they made. We do a lot of crafts when they are here. I don't like to see them stare zombie like at a television! Too many kids get that these days, these included.

I like flowers but never planted any after the first year here. The cows kept breaking in and eating them.:( Dumb cows! They broke the good planters too. I hope the kids don't have any plans that include us... The eldest wanted to take me out when he was here this week, I told him no. Let's eat here where it is quiet and we can visit, that would make me happy so that is what we did.:)

Sadly I haven't read them yet. But that's why I like to read the books last now because they fill in the gaps after I watch whereas before I'd be disappointed if something was left out that I wanted to see in film. I've got a list that I'm working on. The last few I read were what I call my guilty pleasure books. They're not raunchy but more urban fiction. Next in line are the Game of Thrones series. My buddy Jeff thinks ill like the books though. We tend to like some of the same stuff reading wise. I really do have to carve out more time for reading though. I don't do it nearly as often as I used too.

Hummm....I'm wide awake now. Maybe I'll start one tonite. Maybe not, I can stay up all night reading if it's really good. I've done it before. I keep telling myself, 'one more chapter' & before I know it hours have passed & I'm almost done with the book:laugh:

That's good. I worry about my nieces & now my 2 year old nephew. They're always glued to a phone, tablet or computer. They say I'm old when I tell them how it was when I was little. My first cousin & I spent every moment we could outside playing. We didn't even want to come in when the street lights came on.

    That's a good kid:)
Whatever mom wants she gets. And you deserve it!
My mom loves flowers & gardening. I don't know where she got her green thumb from because it wasn't my grandmother & she certainly didn't pass it to me though I did help her with the garden when I was growing up. I still do when I go home. She absolutely loves it. Her current Rose bushes are big & beautiful this year. She sent me pics earlier.

I hope everyone has a beautiful day. Whether you lucky enough to be able to hug your mom or just have to close your eyes and feel the love that still lives from within.........Happy Mother's Day.

And just in case you are wondering, the good lookin' guy on the end (although I am biased) is the one that makes me smile.......my son Zach.
