I was just looking at mines thinking the same thing:lol:
    GMTA

Looks like the bottom screws off but that would be a pain with those tiny screws:unsure:
Hummm...what could we put down there to pull the spring up...I'm thinking...

    Tweezers!!!;)
Don't think I have any long enough for that ... besides, I just tried a fuse to make a connection and got the "spring" but no connection.
May need to pull up the pin or something.

I really only like salmon grilled with a sweet bourbon glaze. The recipe below is a copycat version of one served at a popular steakhouse chain. It's my favorite way to eat salmon. I do like it smoked though too.

    Sweet Bourbon Salmon

    1/4 - c. pineapple juice
    2 T soy sauce
    2 T brown sugar
    1 tsp Kentucky Bourbon
    1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
    1/8 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 c vegetable oil

    2 - 8 ounce salmon fillets
    2 tsp. snipped fresh chives

    1. Combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, pepper, and garlic powder in medium bowl. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the oil.

    2. Be sure all the skin is removed from the salmon. Place the fillets in a shallow dish and pour the bourbon marinade over them, saving a little to brush on the fish as it cooks. Put a lid over the fish and refrigerate for at least an hour. A few hours is better.

    3. Preheat your BBQ, or stovetop grill over med/high heat.

4 Cook the fish for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until each fillet is cooked all the way through. Regularly brush the fillets with the marinade.

    5. Arrange the fillets on each plate wiht the chives sprinkled over the top.
