Haha yea that's a bit of a jump. Most people can't make it through an apprenticeship. My boilermaker class is down to 12 from 28 and only 4 months in.

It just blows my that people just throw away these opportunities. I mean if u wanna smoke pot wait 4 years to u finish your apprenticeship then have a 6 figure a year job and can get high. When your an apprentice if u get fired from a company your basically done (we have a point system but as an apprentice we have a 1 year probationary period). As a journeyman u get a 21 day suspension then come back and pass a drug test from the hall and just can't work for that specific company anymore. We lost some from drugs (one died of a h eroin overdose after he was kicked out), a few couldn't pass the welding test and the rest have gotten fired for being lazy or some other issue at work.

Ours is basically the same. Unless its a prescription drug u are taking a site that doesn't allow any narcotics even if prescribed. Then u get a point and apprentices can only get 2 points in all of your 4 year apprenticeship. If u fail as an apprentice for any recreational drug u are as good as wacked. We have pics of each apprentice on the wall and if u get kicked out they keep your pic up with the word "WACKED" in black maker over your face.
