OB, do you have certain times of the year that it's busier, or is it just based on orders that come in, housing?? I'm clueless. I know nothing about steel mills.

It all depends on orders. But spring and summer and early fall in very bizzy mostly because of vacation OT. My normal schedule is 7 day turns one day off, 7 3-11 and one day off, 7 midnight turn and 4 days off (long weekend) which is what I`m on now I go back Tuesday at 6:30 I can also get what we call FROZE that's when a person on the next turn calls off and you can be forced to work a double and that happen to me ALOT Because of my senority and I`m one of the few in my Department that can run all the cranes in my area

I have one on the frig and they email me one to my phone every Friday

Afternoon all!
Dale, I tried my very bestest to nap (hard), and I may have dozed, but it surely wasn't for long. I can say I have gotten a lot of sleep this weekend, and have been sleeping very well since I started using the new Melatonin. That's been the very best money I've spent in a LONG time!!

I took a long hard nap myself this afternoon ... dreamed I woke up at 6 o'clock but couldn't figure out if it was a.m or p.m.
Got up and saw it was a little after 3
Can't really tell what the Melatonin is doing for me if anything?

GOB yea mill workers work a lot too. My next job should be at the no7 blast furnace shut down :beer:

Lori yup we are big on safety and we always have a harness and lanyard on when climbing scaffolding especially that high up
