Can I just use a lighter or does it have to be more heavy duty than that?

You can use a lighter but when you get a chance grab a cheap butane torch from meijer or somewhere similar. It does a much better job and is much faster

I just watched the YouTube video. Looks pretty user friendly:)
Does torching it make the wire easier to maneuver?

I build the coil with the jig then take the coil and heat it then squeeze it with pliers then repeat 2 more times. It's good to heat your coil anyways as it burns off any chemicals on the wire from the factory. U can use a regular lighter too but I got my mini torch lighter for like 5 bucks at a gas station.

So that's why you do it :?: I've heard you can use a lighter

I wasn't sure why either MD.

    Thanks Jeff:wub:

You guys are awesome. I don't know what I'd do without you! Guess I'll go ahead & grab a torch in the next couple of days since I have to wrap some coils soon.
