Nah, I'll go with the ProVari Jeff :)

It is awesome, you should have seen his face last night when I showed it to him and explained that it was just the battery tube

He was like *cough cough*, turned around and walked off!
Yep sweetie, that's just the battery case...
DH loves anything that's techie (to a degree), he had no problem with me getting it, and apparently neither did your DH ;).
Mine watched part of P.Busardo's original mini review, and DH said "why wouldn't you get that one?"

Do you have the AW IMR batteries for it??

So Jeff, Welsh, Dave, or anyone who wanders by and cares to comment, what is your opinion of the new HTC One-M8??
Have you had a chance to look it over, online or otherwise?? I realize they just came out, so I understand if no one has seen one in real life yet....it sure is purty.

I already have an HTC EVO, three years old, and it's getting just a wee bit tired and should be replaced before it completely crashes, the battery is just almost toast, and it's been locking up on me quite a bit lately. :(

But, the thing is, I really don't want to learn a different OS.
DH has been looking at the new phones and reading reviews, and told me last night I should consider getting the new HTC One-M8. I'm due for an upgrade, under no contract now, so I can get it (or the Motorola S5) for $199 with a new contract....or, I can get another newer version of what I have for $0, with a new 2 year contract....any thoughts?? I'm really not a big techie type, and I honestly don't use my phone a lot, but I do like that if I need to use something (navigation, texting, camera, etc.) that I "can". Also, I'm not one to get new ones all the time either (three years with this one, three years with prior phone), so I usually get a nice one when I do get a new one.

DH just got the new Motorola that came out (S5), (his work phone). They have a lot of phones on the plan at work, and his was less than $50...or maybe right at $50. He says it's pretty sweet!! He had the 4, or whatever was before this one, he upgrades about every year/year and a half, because he uses it for work, and they're mostly shot...or ready to be passed to someone who won't use them as much. They get them for awesome prices, so it makes sense for them.

    anyhoodles...just curious.

Lori, I just got my upgrade at the beginning of March. I looked at all the new ones including the HTC One. I thought the HTC was nice but ended up opting for the S4. If I had waited a few more weeks, I could have gotten the s5. But, overall, I really love my S4. It is very user friendly, and since it is still the android platform, it is pretty similar to the EVO.

I'm debating back and forth. DH had the S4 and LOVED it!! (He's passing it to someone else in sales who has a really old phone.) He said the 5 is almost too big, but it takes great pics, but so does the 4.
I don't know, no more than I actually use the one I have now, I may just go with the one for $0.00 and just have a new version of what I already have.

I like the m8 Lori that the Z2 and G3 are my choices for my next phone. I had the my or HTC one and loved it. But I'm leaning towards the G3 as the G2 is the only phone I've loved this much and used this much.

Okay thanks!!! I'll have to look those up, I have no idea what they are.

There's some similarities between the HTC M8 and S4 Lori, I've played with both and gone with the S4 if I had the option back there a bit I'd have waited for the S5 after playing with that recently. Not much difference in size over it's younger S4 brother.

So, the HTC's 2600Mah battery lasts a little longer than the S4 in my opinion even though that too has 2600Mah, I have to charge mine frequently but there's not enough difference between them for the HTC to have a huge benefit. Both have Gorilla Glass, which in honesty doesn't make it any more durable considering the S3 also had Gorilla Glass and I still managed to crack the screen. HTC has the better sound quality, hands down if you use it for MP3s. HTC's camera is slightly better, with the foreground focus option the S4 lacks, however the S5 has that. S4 is lighter than the HTC, they both run a 5 inch display.

They're very similar, just those 2. If you like HTC in general, you'll like the M8 and it is very good looking. I'd personally jump the S4 and take the S5 if that's an option.

I wouldn't buy a Samsuck phone if u paid me. Laggy garbage with horrible battery imho. Off ask the phones I've owned and I've owned ALOT the bottom of my list is the Galaxy series of phones. They are like the Apple of Android :thumbdown:

Ha. Not surprised you agree with, and sound just like my DH. Either would prob be fine, and they're the same price for the upgrade for me. Thank you for giving your opinion!! I really appreciate it!!

Really hard to take that pic! So my apologies for quality. It's not the greatest but it serves a meaning for my sister. There was a whole flashy design but I slashed my budget for her to get a dreamcatcher design & went very simple.

Very nice hon! You're such a sweet brother :)
