I use it at least once a week.
Try getting a pork loin or roast- cook on high for 6 hours. Pull the pork and add BBQ sauce. Freeze some for BBQ sandwiches during the next week.

You have enough left to freeze? My kids and fiance would eat it all in 2 days.
Hmmm....now i'm thinking maybe chili this weekend! Can you tell it's a slow workday?

don't believe we've met before. You guys are making me want to throw a roast in my crockpot. I haven't really cooked since the whole wrist thing. Hummmm....maybe I'll surprise Reggie with dinner Sunday. Roast with carrots, potatoes & onions with rice sounds like a good start. I'll have to figure out what else to add. Fingers crossed I can peel the potatoes now. Hehehe!
When my daughter was home I kept the crockpot going at all times - the whole neighborhood would stop over and eat- soup/stew. Usually meat potatoes a bag of mixed veggies barley tomatoes. A can of soup. A little worchestershire sauce a little soy ...

When I do pork I get the biggest I can find like 20# or bigger.

You can get cut carrots in a bag- frozen
And all the other stuff comes frozen in bags too.
Sometime I use large cut hash towns for potatoes.
