Sorry, just saw this. Mine is a Krups, mini grinder. Just off and on. Grinds very fine, but it's just the length of time you pulse it, not any settings.
I would think that low numbers means finer, but you might just play with it.
Oh well, just trying not to waste these bean's Trevor brought me from Guatamala

I always grind mine in the middle anyway...
And I bought a grinder with a push top that I like better cause I can make bread crumbs in it...
