The palmetto bugs are the worst. Palmetto bugs are a nice name for giant, giant, way too giant roaches.

...FLYING ROACHES...we have those here too...but their smaller, and they call them wood roaches....the good news is that they nest in trees, and not in your house.

I love snakes, those wouldn't have bothered me in the least. But that spider...um...no....no thank you. The spider was on top of an old muddobber (sp?) nest...if that gives you any idea of how BIG that was. We call those wood spiders...they are just NASTY!!
Yep. Thankfully they're nothing to kill. They're bodies are so soft they really have no chance in life.

Chim, it's pretty much in a wooded area. I'm used to that stuff (outside). We don't get anything like that in the house. Those spiders are much smaller. Gal, have you never been out to the country??
