We aren't disgusting. Humans don't so why would cat's. Dogs are gross in many ways. We clean our coats and put grooming to a high priority

I read somewhere that dogs eat poo because some dog/cat poo still smells like food to them because the actual food in the poo didn't get broken down/digested all the way. So really it makes sense. Gross for sure...but seemed like a viable explanation.
I've had dogs that would do that, but so far, Rita hasn't. Course I really keep my eye on her when we're out on walks. She DOES however have to revisit and smell her previous little "piles" in the yard...so I keep them picked up on a regular basis, otherwise...potty time takes FOREVER!!
