Yeah, I gave up on that some time ago. I just try and concentrate on a few areas that hold interest for me ... I can't compete with the Jone's (sp?) nor do I wish to!

Yes, the Nexus is nice no doubt about it. I don't really know what I think about the google association though to be honest. I have some issues with a few of their business practices ... but that's just me.

Don't get me wrong, I do like tech but it evolves so rapidly nowadays that it's very hard to stay up to date unless you have bottomless pockets.

Yeah, I refuse to be tied to a phone ... I allowed it in the past but it would have to be something pretty significant to get me to do that again.

no me neither. i have a 6 year old cell phone, a 10 year old+ laptop and they are fine for simple little me. all i really need a phone for is to text and make/answer calls. i don't need to check my stocks or my email every 5 min., or twitter or facebook or linkedin or anything else. i am just fine being unencumbered by instant information. but to each their own.

Wow, I think I just spent about an hour catching up, you night owls were busy busy! I have very little use for technology; the only reason I ever wound up with a computer is because a friend just brought a used one over, hooked it up & forced me to use it! I don't even own a cell phone even tho' I could probably text someone if I wanted to bad enough ... but I don't like to be "hunted" down much either

Completely agree with that last sentence! Each of us just needs to do what is best for ourselves, that's why I don't push me views on veganism etc. on anyone. I'm more than happy to talk about anything if asked though.

Made some venison for dinner it is umm mmm umm yumm. I am over my guilt for the aquarium mishap from 2 days ago.

At least that seems to be how it works with me when I'm really tired ... even if I really want to watch something ... snoozerville!

I gave up on all shows that come on after 8 p.m. Fall asleep every time so there's really no point in getting started.

......reading puts me to sleep....works like a charm...even a good book.

Oh yes, that too! In fact, that's probably even better than the TV no matter how good the book.

I couldn't stand it.. had a bad buy from fasttech when I was stupid and ordered juice from HongKong.. thinking well.. maybe they might turn out decent.. but no....... :/

I picked up a Nook just for ebooks too. I like to be able to take 100's if not 1000's of books with me wherever I go!

While it does have surfing capabilities that's about the extent of it ... not really useful for that purpose in my experience.

I seriously wish sometimes I didn't own my cell phones or computers. I love technology and all but it would be so nice to be disconnected for a while, unreachable and free. Taking that trip in August and going to leave my phones at home I think.
