I probably have at least 6 mechanicals laying around here. I do like the simplicity of them however at the same time, I wish I had more control over the discharge rate. You can add a component (called a Kick) that will give you some of the features of an APV but why don't just buy a real one if you're going to go that route?

I've always wondered about the whole 'kick' thing. Plus there's soooo much you need to learn about batteries when you get into mechanicals. I've been doing or reading lately...was up til 4am just last night...& a lot of this stuff is just over my head it seems. Ill try to take it one step at a time for now & see how it goes. I really love my Wyvern rda's so I hope this Igo-L lives up to the hype'

You should try it Charm! I don't know how it'll work out but ill give it a shot! Gotta check all of the boxes on your vaping bucket list! Lol

What do you mean by "too much"? Too much equipment? No such thing. If it's pretty, you like it & use it, and it keeps you off the stinkies, it's fine. (vaperationalization). I figure I'll probably end up with one at some point too. It's not like I really use the VV I've got now - I've got the Ron Pompeil "set it & forget it" mentality.
Rebuilding, yeah, I'll try it once, but like beets, if I don't like it, I ain't trying it again.
And I'm pretty sure Haze will be disappointed with your offer (minds out of the gutter again, peeps!). I'm pretty sure he's a cotton guy.

Good to know, thank you. My hands are small, but I'm really not into tedious. The evod rebuild wasn't bad, the WyVern, I think is close to the same size, but honestly, if I can keep it at those two, that will need the coils rebuilt, I'll be good with that.

I still really love the Ikenvape cartos too, so I'll keep some of those in my stash as well, ugh...WHEN you can order them. I'd like to really settle into a good routine with my vaping, and be done with the search and learn part for awhile.

I'm not all that concerned over losing access to devices ... juice yes but I don't really see how they can regulate devices when worse case, you could build one yourself fairly easily.

That's exactly the method I subscribe to ... advance in increments rather than trying to get there all at once, provided I see a need to advance in the first place. I tried the sub-ohm stuff and frankly I wasn't impressed.

I'm pretty content with my ego-C twist and spinner. The Vivi Nova I opened today, however, seems to be leaking from the bottom. I've tightened it but....~sigh~ I just want something pretty to put my new Angel's tip on.

Sorry! Too many browsers!! Microwave corn on the cob is awesome. Leave the husks on, microvewave 3-4 minutes per ear, depending on size. Wrap in aluminum foil & let sit for at least 10 minutes (or longer if you've got other stuff going on, it will stay warm for hours holding that way). When you pull the husks off to serve, the silk just goes with it. No cleaning required. The hardest part is letting it get cool enough so you don't burn your hands trying to get the husk off.

Lol! No just wayyy over my head. Especially if I want to use them with rebuildables. I'm sure ill do it eventually but I'm worried about something going boom!! Lol! Seems like you need to know a lot more about batteries & multimeters & discharge ratings. My heads hurting just thinking about it

If you're only doing 3 or 4 ears, you just put them in (leave the husks on) and nuke them for about 4 minutes. The husks will then slip right off, including the silks. I rarely do it this way because I usually have 8 to 12 ears to do. There are a bunch of videos out there...some say nuke for 6 or more minutes, others say trim this end or that end. I find it easier to just husk it and boil them up.

Chim, that's very sweet of you to offer the silica but I should be getting some in any day now, I just don't know when it will show up. While I am giving silica another shot, I still don't expect it to displace cotton as my wicking material of choice. I just thought it would be good to have some around and figured it had to be better than the silica I bought from FT in the past. But that is very nice of you!

I'm with you there. Even juice won't be impossible, the only thing they can regulate is nicotine. THAT'S not going anywhere, it will just be more expensive & fewer buying choices (insert BT here).

While I am giving silica another shot, I still don't expect it to displace cotton as my wicking material of choice. I just thought it would be good to have some around and figured it had to be better than the silica I bought from FT in the past. But that is very nice of you!

Ok ok ok! But the offer still stands! Come on Haze...it's German! Ill have a whole 10 feet of it...ok ill back off but feel free to change your mind. So, this cotton...my buddy JBL was telling me about cotton & how it holds a lot of juice. What kind of cotton do you use exactly?

Well, at least I FINALLY got the answer to my question, albeit indirectly. Weren't you hanging on my every word?
I still do it in the microwave, even with large batches. I do NOT enjoy de-silking corn.

What kind of cotton do you use exactly?

I bought some Peaches & Cream white 100% cotton yarn at walmart. I cut off about 4 feet and boiled it for 10 minutes, then let it air dry. I really like it better than silica. It absorbs well, but you cannot do a dry burn with it.
