Not corny at all dear, music takes me to many magical places. I completely agree about James Newton Howard, I love his scores so much! Hans Zimmer will always be my favorite though, his music moves me in such a beautiful way.

Going to be a Chan-Woo Park night for me I think, just got his new film "Stoker" and while I heard it wasn't his best I am curious to see his first film with American actors. I watch a lot of Korean films and his "Vengeance trilogy" are some of my favorites, especially "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" Also LOVE "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK" may have to watch that one again tonight. One of the greatest movies about mental illness I have seen, so beautiful!
Do you have a favorite by Hans Zimmer?
I'll have to check out the movies. Hopefully Netflix has them.

i am still wanting to see the biopic about Temple Grandin. i heard it's awesome.

Oh do! It's great! I just love her. She's in another documentary called "A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism." Really fascinating and Temple is really great in it... she has a terrific sense of humor.

Did anyone see the article that Fox News put out a few days ago about how many companies are actually hunting and wanting to hire autistic people because they are SO focused and come up with creative solutions? I think that seriously rocks.

We've had a really cool thing with my grandson happen. He hasn't been diagnosed yet (waiting for the evaluation sometime this summer) but I'm totally convinced that he is on the spectrum. So, a few weeks ago after church, he hopped up onto the stage area, sat down and played the drums. Like REALLY played them. (He'd never touched them before and he plays like a pro.) He now wants a drum set. My daughter has my deepest sympathy.

CONGRATS KELLI!!!!!! So great that you don't miss smoking.

I tried one about 5 days into vaping and it was so disgusting I have not even thought about it since. That, after 22 years of smoking.

My favorite is "The Thin Red Line" but it is also my favorite movie. As for the Chan-Woo Park films, they are not for everyone and you may not like them at all. Old Boy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance are pretty violent but at the same time incredibly beautiful if that makes any sense, it is a story of a woman that plots an incredible revenge on guy that molests and murders children. They are very artistic films.

Hi all! :)
Dale, have a great time at the BD party!
There isn't really a recipe for green chili stew. This is what I put in it yesterday (it varies depending on mood and what's in the pantry. :D)
I toss boneless/skinless chicken in the crockpot and cover with water or chicken broth (4 thighs.) Add garlic and onion (fresh or dried... doesn't matter.) Cook it until the meat is fall apart tender and then shred it. Put it back in the crock pot.
Add pinto beans (I added four cans), a can of Rotel, a bunch of green chili (if you don't have fresh, canned is fine. - About 4 or 5 cans.) Let it all heat up good (another hour maybe.)
Top with whatever you want. I had grated cheese and green chili dip on hand, so that's what we put on it. (Lettuce, tomato and sour cream are good too if you don't have green chili dip.)
You can add or remove according to your taste. Potatoes are good in it for example.
And that's it. Very easy and it tastes like you 'really' cooked. lol

Aaron... on the couch sounds like a very good place for you to be today! Hope you mend quickly.

GG and Haze... love the wiggly eyes on your mods.

I'll take any of the rain that you guys are sick of. ;)

Maybe we should start a recipe thread: Victorious Vapers Recipe Book

..or something.

Some days I have to run from violent films, other days... as long as the bad guy 'gets it' in the end, I seem to seek that kind of stuff out.
I don't like horribly gory violence (chainsaw movies.. things like that ) but, I can handle sort of 'cleaned up' violence, if that makes sense.
And I have an off button. I love that button.

Sounds good. I've been in a terrible rut lately... could use some new ideas!
Only got a minute... Kelli, I am so glad you are ok...but yes grounded!!!! We had a storm last night with 80 to 110 mph winds, so big clean up here...the town has very little power and crap everywhere and I have no fence anymore! Check in later
Oh no! Glad you checked in and that you're okay. Sorry about your fence!
