Plus I forgot to mention that the Mac Modz is machined much better. That I can assure you.

I'm sure making a few mods compared to a few thousand has alot to do with it.

That probably has a lot to do with it, you're right. But it doesn't change the fact that it is in fact machined better. I wasn't trying to compare Atmomixani to Mac Modz and businesses. Just the Mac Modz 18350 to the Nemesis. Let Atmomixani churn out the numbers, I will stick to the fine quality of Mac's creations. No disrespect to the guys over at Atmomixani. The Nemesis if a great design, just poorly executed IMHO. The rush to get it out took some from the quality.

I certainly wasn't trying to bash the Nemesis. I really do think that it is quite innovative and a great design. Just poorly executed. I have fallen in love with the Mac Modz 18350. I look over at my Paps Lux just sitting there and I feel sorry for it. LOL. But the this mod is just a pleasure to use.

Poor threading, weak engraving, crunchy button, and sharp edges. This was just my experience with two mods. I can only base my comparison off of those two. It just felt rushed. Just my opinion though.

Hey Mac, if these do go up for production, would you be offering a brushed alum tube? I really like the alum tube w/ Ti ends, but alum shows wear super easily. I think a brushed option would offer a cleaner appearance in the long run.

I don't buy mods to sit on a shelf. If I own it, it is well used.

Huh. I noticed the sharpish edge on button but no crunchy. Still on my keeper list, though the GP button is nicer... And the Atomo even nicer than both those.

Haven't tried the Atomo. But it looks nice and looks like it might have a similar button.

I keep meaning to grind, re-brush, and smooth the edges of the button. Just sad that something so "high end" would require that. Should have been done by the modder.

Other than the airflow cap which is nice for cartotanks (which I never use) and the super easy pos/neg adjustments... There really isn't anything special about it.

But i'm always a critic. I can find something wrong with anything.

The only thing that anyone can find "wrong" with the Mac Modz, is the fact that it doesn't have a lock. But I find that it doesn't need one. On the very few occasions that it might go into my pocket, there isn't anything that goes into the pocket with it. So nothing to accidentally fire the recessed switch.

Yeah. My mod sits in the shoulder pocket of my uniform next to my pocket pharmacopia to keep it standing upright. That wouldnt be an issue for me so long as it is a shielded button like the paps.

I found i had the same problem with my Nem (both matte and polished), but the issue was more how i set it up.

If you have an atomizer that can adjust the contact height, get it out a mil or so (as far as your comfortable going). lower the top cap pin as low as it can go, and then adjust the battery cap pin height as low as it can go without rattle.

for me, this allowed more of the button pole to contact the sides with less play, allow some more room for error when depressing the switch, and consequently got rid of the crunchiness too.

i haven't yet polished anything but the tube threads, so i can't speak to that solution.

See that inner surface? Polish it till its completely smooth, no more crunchy and can push in the switch from edges no problem
