"Mac Modz" Titanium Mechanical,Tank, + Genesis

I found i had the same problem with my Nem (both matte and polished), but the issue was more how i set it up.

If you have an atomizer that can adjust the contact height, get it out a mil or so (as far as your comfortable going). lower the top cap pin as low as it can go, and then adjust the battery cap pin height as low as it can go without rattle.

for me, this allowed more of the button pole to contact the sides with less play, allow some more room for error when depressing the switch, and consequently got rid of the crunchiness too.

i haven't yet polished anything but the tube threads, so i can't speak to that solution.

that reminds me... one can have all the top mods today, but we're still in the early stages of this industry.
I was pretty happy with my Provari for a couple years after it first came out... until i got into mechanicals.
My dna 20 mod is pretty airtight imo too.
But people have issues with just about every high end mechanical even the "unobtainables".

Exactly what I planned on doing. Along with eliminating the sharp edge on the button itself.

Yours looked alot better than my Nemesis from the last batch. Every tube had razor sharp burrs on the inside and out and at the 510 connection cup. I had a burr inside on the tail switch threads that made me almost cry trying to unscrew the tailcap as I knew it was buggering up the threads on every turn. I don't know why the one I got like this ever shipped Thanks god I had the tools to fix her up. Almost forgot the burrs on the battery tube where so deep that a battery would'nt fit into the tube!

Yours looked alot better than my Nemesis from the last batch. Every tube had razor sharp burrs on the inside and out and at the 510 connection cup. I had a burr inside on the tail switch threads that made me almost cry trying to unscrew the tailcap as I knew it was buggering up the threads on every turn. I don't know why the one I got like this ever shipped Thanks god I had the tools to fix her up. Almost forgot the burrs on the battery tube where so deep that a battery would'nt fit into the tube!

yeah, no idea why they made a brass part that threads into an SS part, asking for trouble imo and one of the reasons i dont like mods that have brass 510 connectors, brass is a very soft metal

Mine is nowhere near that bad, but i got it 2nd hand. Still needs work, but i love to tinker.

This is my new baby and I have ZERO complaints

That's just pure slop... If this were a pic of a Chinese mech, we'd all be holding it up as an example of why we don't buy cheap Chinese crap. Is see no reason to give it a pass because it's expensive Greek crap.

No offence intended toward those who love their Nemesis(s)... I just truly believe that if we're going to be expected to shell out close to $200 for a metal tube with a switch and a 510, that we should be able to expect some attention to detail.

It's sad to think that when the Chinese version of the Nemesis comes out it will be better quality than the original...

i had a nemesis and got rid of it pretty quick. wasn't my opinion of quality. the metal was so thin and soft, the threads were too fine and that massive lock ring killed it for me

Yeah that looks horrid. Thankfully I did not have any of these issues, and am very happy with mine. At least though Atmo is awesome with their support, which is another reason I don't mind shopping with them.

So as we were discussing button locks earlier... I was at my buddies wedding. I had to leave because of the 3+ hour drive home.

I went to their table and put my nem in my pocket. My buddy gives me a huge bear hug.

Suddenly there is this horrid stench.

Yep, it was a 1ohm coil scorching my cotton wick.

Going to have to boil my nimbus and drip tip tomorrow. Even after dry-burning and re-wicking, it is "stained" with this horrid stench.

Mental note: after 8ish beers in an hour, remember to lock unshielded buttons!
