Mile Hi City
I recently saw this idea from another poster here on ECF but I can't find it now. I am going to use Mini Rubber Bands to mark my tanks, find 2 rubber bands (or combinations of colors) of the same color and put one on the tank and one on the bottle of juice that is in it. I have a bag of around 200 of these rubber bands, I have no idea where I got them, now I can put them to use.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas, I am off on a scavenger hunt, I know I have a wooden cigar box and tool box (I don't think my husband will notice if one is missing) around here somewhere and a few other things that could be useful.

.....My other life dragged me off and kept me very busy, but WHen I found this thread sitting in my email, I thought I'd pop in and see if I could help ......

1) try either the new Viva paper towels ( really fantastic and tough, with coupons in last Sundays paper I hear tell) or the old Vivas ....the new are waffled, the old are smooth, the old really are like cloth ....I won no stock, but have been a rabid fan for a couple of decades now ....no other paper towel comes close to toughness, and I re-use most of them when I am just using them to dry something off ....stuff them in a drawer or my roommate will toss them ....I use them to remove old finish from furniture .....try that with bounty !

2) ...got my second bottle of stars, and I know about tha problem with 1) getting them out of the bottle, and 2) getting them to play nice ....so what I did this time is let the stars settle to the bottom, and then veeerrrrrry carefully, and slowly pour out as much of the clear polish as I can .....I got about 1/2 of it out before I started to lose too many stars that way .....and then I also tried pouring the stars out on a piece of tinfoil, and picking them up with the built in brush .....that meant I didn't have to put great globs of clear to get a few stars out .....

3) ....I had a collection of colored Spinners, red, blue and purple ...so I used glitter nail polish in those colors ...but the prettiest one I did was an old black eGo ....I put the lightest blue ( from Sally Hansen, various sized circles of glitter ) on that flat black and it looks the best of all ....

....I tend to do a lot of experimenting, and frankly, I can and do get obsessed with glitter for some reason ....so I am constantly playing with different colors ...if there is a Ross near you, check out the nail polish selection...I picked up 6 colors for $5.

...and I will overlay one color on top of another ...

....the thing that I shouldn't do is put the glitter on too thick over my Kanger T3s, as that obscures the see-thru ability .....

and since I pretty much like cherry, grape, cotton candy and blueberry ....I use red for the cherry ...etc ....simplifies the color coding ...but I still mix up which brand, as I took advantage of the big sales around Easter, and am still trying to remember which cherry I put in which Kanger ....Allusions cherry is easy, I had to get Vivi novas for that ...it melts the plastic fo the Kangers

I have a draw in my kitchen desk dedicated to holding stuff but my local shop sells juice in bottles with eye droppers that did not fit. My old, no longer used, humidor makes a wonderful, almost, place for the juice. The problem is that I knock over the juice when I try to take one out and then knock others over when I stand the ones I just knocked over up. My plan for the weekend is to get a piece of poplar and drill holes in it to hold the bottles.

I did this last week. Had a piece of 1X4 poplar in the garage. Cut it to the exact width of the drawer where we keep our juice and drilled 24 holes for different sized bottles. Worked like a champ; only problem is can't read the labels, but couldn't do that before either...

Many things. I love my clear acrylic 'vanity organizer' with the perfect spaces for three egos, several evods and mini pt's, my MVP, nine juice bottles (2 30ml, 7 15ml), 4 boxes of coils, qtips and folded paper towels plus an ego charger. And I can still toss a couple of pens in it because pens everywhere is never a bad thing. $4 on Amazon.

My favorite has to be the ego lanyard from a shoelace, unwaxed dental floss and the clasp from an old broken piece of costume jewelry. Works great!

A piece of scrap with a bunch of alternating holes made the labels visible.

So I have not read all this but something I found useful: My wife had an old wallet thats a small hard case meant for a few credit cards and ID. I noticed it holds 3 small tanks and a paper towel (incase of leaks) perfectly. I use the t3s when out and about or occasionally a mini pt2 which all work well. It fits well in my pocket but even better it very conveniently drops into my wife's purse if we are at the movies or such.

That would make it a "vaper towel" wouldn't it? Sorry, just had to.

Ok, maybe not a household item, but just getting into DIY, and found some VERY useful bottles at Sally's beauty supply, my GF suggested it, as they have bottles for applying dye.. They have 180ml bottles "Color Applicator" with a dropper long enough and small enough for most clearo's :) Also, for wrapping coils, instead of a short drill bit, try a piece of music wire, sold at most hardware stores...

Something I am in the process of.. a spice rack, wall mount type, to display all the flavors, ingredients, juices and such :)

Love finding new uses for things...

Not really a household item, but definately a quick thinking McGuyver. I was at home depot yesterday, and I was looking at some sort of set screw for the use in my Caravela.. I wanted a shorter one to help my batteries fit a bit better. I took off the set screw on my Caravella, but what I didn't know, is I dropped the center delrin insulator holding it... on the way up to the counter, I wen to re-assemble the mod, and noticed the delrin was missing. I went back to look for it, but it was nowhere to be found. Well, looking at the hole, I asked for a plastic washer to put the center contact in.... Didn't find that, but I DID find a rubber grommet that was the exact same size as the hole.. it fits nicely,a nd it looks like it was designed that way. because it was rubber, it turned it into a sort of "floating center pin"... Not to mention it's now leak proof.

Careful with using the batteries loose in a box with metal pieces. They can short out if they touch any of the metal pieces in there.
That's why you never carry batteries in your pocket with coins for example.

Other than that, nice pictures! I realy like to view your style of photos.

thanks!

no worries on the batts: the tools go in a separate box and the box isn't for carry.
