Was it really?
2x0.6ohm coils, is not the same as a single .3 ohm coil....
it may come up the same on an ohm reader...
but its a different type of animal.
So, if I make a dual coil and test it on my APV and it reads 1.2ohms... does that mean it has two .6ohm coils? Or two 1.2ohm coils?

it means you have two 2.4 ohm coils....
Because the two coils run in parallel you are essentially cutting the ohms in half...
(something i learned with custom automotive speaker/sub-woofer installs)
it also messes up the amperage loads, but im not a mathematician so i cant give you those numbers...
ohms law has to be modified to calculate dual coils, so its not so cut and dry.
No modifications needed. If you want to figure the amperage, use the total resistance (1.2Ω in this case) in the your Ohm's Law formulas.

So an Innokin iClear Dual Coil 2.0ohm clearo that reads 2.0ohms on my apv really has two 4.0ohm coils in it?
Or are all the cartos and clearo dual coils wired differantly that we are these RBA's?

Just got one of these RBAs in the mail... First RBA ever... Just wondering if there is some kind of break in period on the stock coil and wick as there is a weird taste coming off the atty... My MT Baker Caramel Candy tastes really weird... Kinda like pakalolo... lol... It is measuring at 2ohms and I am vaping it at 6-8ohms... Can I get some suggestions please...
Just thought I'd share one of my recent RDA builds. I call it the Bunny build (single wire dual coil gravity fed wicking system):

I don't think it would be practical to use a ceramic wick in a dripper as with ss-only meshes. Granted, what I've seen with SS in the IGO-L is something else. SS/Silica hybrid wicks do work nicely, though.
I have been eyeing the RDA, just cant come up with a reason to pull the trigger on one yet.
