I have seen it all. People with ripped battery wrappers and over half of it missing. They give me a silly little grin when I rewrap it for them in about 30 seconds. Education is the key because a lot of people have no clue. vaping takes work and not near as easy as lighting a smoke. Most people do not want to invest the time needed to learn safe vaping. CHEERS!

They probably think you are paranoid; the battery works fine in their vamo and they think you are just being silly.
Where the problem occurs is, for example, putting that battery in a bottom switched metal tube mech.

Like most consumer goods, most people assume they meet certain safety standards, but such is not the case in the vape world for the vast majority of products...

That's true, and I don't understand why! If some of these products involved something to do with baby cribs/car seats, or even dog food, there would have been recalls up the wazoo.

As it is now we have to wait for a supplier to be hit with a 1.9 million settlement before there is the slightest signs of change.

Most of the mods most vapers use I wouldn't trust near my face...
You should have been around when we were building them out of spare parts.... flashlights, nose hair trimmers, battery boxes, Altoids tins..... if you could put batteries in it, somebody turned it into something you could vape with! (Even saw a couple made from "adult" toys. o_O )

So are electric tooth brushes. It only took five of them to go bad, and that model was pulled from the market.

There's traceability and liability issues with products bought at the Target, the Walmart or Amazon- not so much from a fly by night internet vendor or B&M who will just shut down if a problem arises. The manufacturers of e-cigs, for the most part, are judgement proof, as one simply can't sue China and win...

If BLU or VUSEs start blowing up, you better believe there would be litigation and Consumer Product Safety Commission investigations; not so much from a brand less hybrid 'clone...'

Almost all incidents were user error. The old cheap ego's had you tricked all ego's are the same they use the same chip and batteries in all ego's even when you paid $130.00 for "name brand ego's". If you do a little research on the chip's powering the ego brands you will find their parent company sells the boards for 8 cents each even back then:shock:..
We researched a little on Breaktru's site . What was different are the materials used in the 510 head, chrome plated brass or stainless steel used in name brand.. The chrome plated units lasting 3-6 months the stainless steel units still being used /usable today..

What mainly happened, people would have three, four different cigalikes from free campaigns, gas station buys, etc, and an ego, they would mix up their chargers not knowing that each charger is specific for each model. While it would work for a while it eventually would overcharge the ego and that is the main reason why they went boom. User error...

I'll agree they are all cheapo designs and have purchased said Batteries for as low as $3.50 for a 650mah EGO Style and $4.50 for a 900mah with passthrough.

I 100% disagree with the Head chips being the same. I do open them up if they fail, or repair(if possible) when decapitated.
I have at least 4 different<Non-variable> boards. Likely due to quality updates, but different none the less.
    :)

Its the same programming in different packages, because of a shops tooling easier to change pin package than to make a different program. You can buy most chips 4 different pin packages each will look different. They are identical in programming and usage..

All the same chip different pin packages..

    That's funny ... thanks.

Actually the toothbrush incident was in Canada (three years ago I believe), and involved a Colgate branded electric toothbrush.
The recall system worked as intended, the product was removed from the market & replaced by one made by a different manufacturer.

A 3 year Vaper should realize they are vaping and not reference smoke, in My Opinion.
A 3 year Vaper attempting to inform others should be informed, in My opinion.

Very, very true. There's only smoke if you set it on fire, which is NOT how you vape.

And while it's true that english is a foreign language to a large part of the world... someone in California really ought to speak/read/write it with some competence.
