Mary Kay,

I don't know you like these other ladies do, since I'm new around here, and I hope you won't think I'm being presumptuous. I just want to tell you, my previous husband died suddenly and unexpectedly, only in his 40's, and I really thot that I would die from the pain. And wanted to -- my friends made a schedule and some stayed with me 24/7 for the first 2 weeks until they were comfortable that I wouldn't off myself. It lasted a loooong time, BUT, it DOES get better, it DOES get easier, happiness DOES return. And more importantly, when you begin to live again and be happy again, do NOT feel guilty or unfaithful -- it is the natural order of things for we human beans and it should always be the result in these situations. Grieve! It's important, it's healing. Just know that the good times are okay and desirable, too. These are some of the things my current hubby told me when we became close friends (he was a friend of my previous hubby and an acquaintance of mine), and he became my BFF in part because he had been thru the same thing with his previous wife. I guess what I'm saying is, I DO know how you feel and my heart and prayers go out to you! Donna

Thank you Donna for your thoughtful and kind post. It hasn't been easy but knowing it was coming for a long time helped. We just assumed it would be his heart, not his lungs. Mike and I talked about things like this and how to handle them. He always gave me good advice and even though he's not here with me, he is still helping me.
I have had those dark moments like you talked about, but with the help of family and friends I have managed them. I don't know about what the future holds..not really worried about it right now. I am just happy to get thru the day to day.

It's offical according to the City of Tampa..I am a horder! LOL
We put stuff we are going to keep in storage, but stuff that needs selling, giving away or just going thru (mostly my daughter's) is on the carport..not to mention a huge radial arm saw. The city decided I am in violation for the stuff on the carport and I need to get rid of it. The problem is that the city no longer has a place to dump it unless you want to pay an arm and a leg and have a truck to get it there! We are cleaning and setting up the house room by room, (the junk and duplicates ends up on the carport) but it's been hard because Laura works 44 to 48 hours a week and I haven't been up to doing more then day to day stuff and some sorting.
We will have to stop and work the carport now before we get a ticket. The funny thing is that the inspector must have just looked at the front because from the back door it's empty..I have been whittling away bit by bit.
We had 6 coolers all different sizes, 6 end tables, 8 kitchen chairs, plastic boxes of asstorted stuff, a lot from St. Cloud.
My daughter has a friend who does yard cleaning and has to make regular runs to he dump..they have a gated flat bed. I will pay her to haul this junk for me. But what am I going to do with that stupid saw?

Mary Kay... when my Mom passed away, and we had to take care of her entire house - we found a Woman's Shelter that took all of her stuff that we didn't want to keep.

If I were you, I'd take my own sweet time emptying the carport. If you get a ticket, contact your local TV station and RANT RANT RANT. Shame on the city for being a stinker.
