Both come running..It's funny to hear them barking at who knows what..one starts and the other chimes in. My Sheba will eat them..Little Sheba will trip them..she is blind in one eye so often gets confused by unseen things..she is also old so she just stops and freezes. She reminds me of me..now why did I come in here?
Touching Laura is a no no according to little Sheba..she tries to attack my dog..who just skips out of he way. Touching Big Sheba's food dish gets little Sheba a nip. I hope they settle down.

Thinking of you MK with love. Don't feel like you are whining. It gives me the warm fuzzys that you can share with us how you feel. I am in awe with how organized you are. It is so good that you and Mike planned this so that you have loved ones close to share with. As you say, I am sure that whatever you do Mike approves. It has to be extremely hard though undoing the things that you had just done not all that long ago.

My daughter is on her way to Myrtle Beach with Shawn's girlfriend to watch Shawn play ball. Jake and I are staying home so he can go to comic con with my son Sat. I don't envy her that 10 hour drive to and from.
The house is still a mess..but we are working on it.
Today was a bit rough..it was our 36th Aniversary. What really made my day was that my 1st husband called..he has been in Afghanistan doing civilian contracting work. It made my day because I remember what a great choice I made with Mike!

{{{{ MK}}}}} Never think you are whining. You are grieving and your world is turned upside down right now. A loss so profound is devastating. I think all you can do is live for the good moments that come to you right now and try to find some comfort from those who love you. It is obvious you adored your husband and it will take a long while before you can become comfortable without him there. Your feelings are what they are. Continue to take it one day at a time. Be easy on yourself. And know that you have a circle of friends and acquaintances on ECF who are thinking of you every day.

I hope no one is offended that I haven't "Liked" each post. It didn't seem right to do so but the posts are appreciated and "Loved"!
Sun, I have been Blessed with a group of ladies on this forum who are the best friends ever!
CES, I do get along with my 1st husband..but he is boring and whinny with his regrets of a life not well spent (5 wives 1 girlfriend, 8 childen). Husband # 2 is a cousin as well as a friend. Nice guy and very sweet but just not meant for me back then. Nope, Mike was the one for me and he always said he was on probation...lol
Keyzy, Jake is so excited! He is such a self claimed geek.

Mary Kay, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, Mike. And I'm sorry that I'm late with my condolences. I took a break a while back from ECF due to real world issues and still haven't gotten caught up. I thought of you today, so I thought I would check on you and news of Mike.

Through my own tears, I send you hugs, prayers and feelings of admiration for your ongoing strength and courage.

Thank you Sea..I have my good days and not so good. But this weekend has been nice. Just me and Jake hanging out and doing silly stuff.
Jake and Mike's brother put in a little sunflower garden for Mike. Jake has been tending the plants and is so excited to see them grow.

Yes, I know Mary Kay, with so many special memories, you are bound to have a few bad days. It will take a while, I would imagine, to relive those memories in your mind's eye with smiles instead of through tears. At least that's how it was for me when I went through something similar.

Jack is a cutie - you and all your kids and grandkids are real lookers! I always enjoy the pictures you post. Now Jake has a very special garden to tend with plenty of TLC.
