My NIVEL chip should be here tomorrow or Saturday, after it arrives I'll finish posting about the ZMAX put up to the P____ and the NIVEL chip in side by side comparisons in multiple setups and arrangements. I just have to say "so far" I'm really impressed and I really really like it.. I thought the 18650 setup was phenominal..but the dual 18350 is just as impressive, I wan't to take this thing apart so bad to see what their using to differentiate the 2 setups and how it tells itself what you put inside it without their being a menu option to tell it what batteries you put in it. It just adjusts automatically...very cool. Think I'll wait till the 2nd unit arrives before I tear it down.

J, can you describe any difference in perceived 'hit' as between the 2 battery setups? Is one battery config preferred over the other and if so, why? Thanks!

So far as I can tell with the only 3 juices I use from 1 setup to the other it is remarkably even. I'm still going thru a few different setups tho...DC tank, RA's, Single Fusion 3Ω, Clearo's, Vivi Nova mini, etc...OH YEAH....and my new PENELOPE!!!Which I am in total love with, I tell ya their is NO Genesis out there that compares to this thing...and I've used a few with perfect builds on them. Don't get me wrong Gen's are really nice...but just don't compare to the level on VTF this Penny put's out, not to mention it's kinds "idiot-proof", no tools needed...EVER. Anyway, as far as I can tell "so far"...if their is any difference in power, hit, underload, etc... from 1 setup(18650) to the next(2, 18350's) I can't tell. The numbers don't even show much difference unless you want to get into the .00-.000 (tens to hundredth's) of a volt here and their. They really did a great job of I'm ""assuming"" using the right capacitor's in the right places to store any energy needed at the right time to make sure their is no drop in performance from the single setup to the stacked. But i can ONLY assume(which I hate doing) until I get inside it.

Has anyone compared the 18350 IMR 800mah eFest batts to AW or know a lot about them? I heard they were good so I grabbed 4 of them. I hope so...

My brother bought two sets of the eFest IMR 18350 from Pink Mule in Europe and he said they work great in his VMax. I hope this info helps.

They're good batteries but the 800 mah are closer to 580 mah.

Actually Dirk thats far from accurate, Heres the test data..and my personal test data at multiple discharge rates show the E'fest to not only out power the AW in higher amp situations but out last it by 30-45% depending on discharge rate ofcourse. The E'fest battery is one heck of a cell, the 18350 800maH, 18650 2000maH, 18500, and the 14650. I've got word that their is a knock off company out there obviously trying to capitalize on the "genuine E'fest recent testing and are trying to sell knock off labeled E'fest so make sure you purchase your batteries from a reputable dealer, this also happened with the AW brand from a European company trying to capitalize on AW's success. E'fest are all I use now, all my AW's are now my backups which I never thought would happen....I do also use the Panasonic CGR hybrid 18650, that's just the best cell technology I've yet to see in a 18650 IMR battery bar none. Hope this helps.

Speaking of batteries, I stopped in the place last night to get some DIY flavoring and "discussed" their battery discription. Here is link:
18350 Lithium Polymer Rechargeable Battery (Two-Pack)

DW...I have those same batteries right here and have tested them also, although they do last a decent time in the Vmax, I have to tell you they failed miserably in almost every discharge test I gave them. At 1.0, 1.5,2.0,2.5 amps they performed "decently" (and I'm being generous using that word), but anything above 3.0 amps you might as well be using a duracell alkaline battery.....well that might be a little harsh,... ok a very cheap ultrafire, which is the very last battery I would EVER recommend for our application. Until another company makes a great 18350 size IMR cell the ONLY 2 batteries I will or would ever recommend for the Vmax especially is the E'fest or AW in that order. "Your Vmax will only perform as good as the battery running it".

@VAPNJ350 - I have seen the eFest on various sites and on some it shows a small dimple or hole in the flat positive end and on other sites it doesn't have it. Which one is the real deal? Or are they both the real deal?

I'd also like to know who the original manufacturer of these batteries are. I have 4 of them that look identical to these (no dimple) but they don't have the EFest label on them. All they say is IMR 18350 800mah 3.7v.

They work great so, I'm not complaining but rather wondering if EFest is just a reseller of these batteries.

I have to say this is a first for me and a really great question. Before answering I'd like to check with the actual manufacture 1st to make sure we keep this thread full of accurate and trusted information much like the Vmax thread. I do know 1 key thing to look for is the V1/V2 label at the bottom left corner of the E'fest label. The "V1" will be the flat top type cell. The "V2" will be the nipple/button type cell. If those labels don't correspond with the physical attributes of the cell that's your 1st clue it may and probably is a knock off. After I get with the manufacturer Monday possibly Tuesday I will make sure to post it here so your question is answered with fact not me assuming. Thanks for bringing up such a great question.

Dusty, I have both of these batteries in question and can attest to , after extensive testing of both, the 2 cells are night and day in performance. I go a little further in detail in my post above about these same cells......scroll up.
These are 2 very different cells internally.

So they are "polymer " then?
