Holy cow! 88 really understands vape mail! Ordered on Saturday and will be ripping open the package when I get home . Impressive. I figured I would be waiting a couple weeks. Just assumed it was shipping from China because the price is so low.

88 is in Southern California, and they do ship quickly.
They also have a working phone number that a real person answers if you have questions or problems.
They also take really good, clear pics of the merchandise.
I just wish they had a larger inventory.
lol

Hmmm.. that sounds strange. Something is not right with that one. I probably would have sent it back or at least asked the vendor if they would send another one. Did you drill new holes? How does the top plate get offset?
I just fudged it over. Less than 0.020. Odd thing is that it's flush on the other side. I'm not gonna pester a vendor over some minor fidgeting with a well priced clone that I received on the first business day since I placed my order.

It works better than my last dual battery set up.

i just ordered the the solid copper version from 88evapes. i have been a metalworker all my life so i couldn`t resist a solid copper mod. also ordered a couple of 3000 mah lg batts to go with it. i work in a plating shop so i may pick up a second one and do some custom finishes on one in nickel and/or chrome.

You're mod looks great. Don't stick a washer in there, especially if it is working well.
Yeah, I got used to the slight over hang. Not going to spend more time than I already have looking for a washer thin enough

I had to shake another bug out last night. I checked the battery voltages and only one was drawn down. Those silly Chinese guys forgot to tighten down the bridge contacts. And I forgot to check when I had it apart the first time to deburr the tops of the battery tubes.

I had no idea how bad my hammond box was. I might have to put a higher build in the old Vulcan.

Edit: Scrap the higher build. Put on the cloud cap.

First impressions: It is perfect. The flush button is phenominal and works wonderfully. It hits hard, just like a CB.
wow that is nice looking! i love my cherry bomber i use it every day but a clone of one of these may be needed in the near future!

i dont mind the engravings on the CB my wife could care less lol

:rickroll:
Looks like someone has a counterfeit raptor! I wonder if that's the number that was on the mod that was sent to China for replication.....

If not, some unlucky person is walking around with an expensive authentic that they won't be able to sell for more than twenty bucks.

Lol. If that's the case, what do you suppose the chain of custody was on that thing? I would be suspicious if an order came in with a China address.

They just pay someone local to buy it.
I worked in another industry that has to deal with cloners.
They have representatives stateside.

Anyone taken the switch apart yet? I think most are either flush or recessed slightly. Mine protrudes a little. Might be why I had to fiddle with the top cap.

My switch protrudes about 0.5 mm. The throw is about 1 mm, so not a lot of play.

It began to come loose when I first got it, eventually pulling out enough it began to catch at the square point of the button shaft when pressed. Pulled the top off, reset the button, and applied NoLox. Just gooey enough to keep the thing from coming loose again, and no problems since.

Trying to form a mental image.. Is the switch housing press fit with the contact screw securing the button?
