which is precisely why i mod my firing button - i wish i had nothing better to do than to check 5 times a day if my pin is arcing or not, but that's not a luxury i have.

So it gets cleaned once a week and that's an end of it. I can tell when it's getting near to cleaning time because - it's nearer to Sunday and batteries don't last long!

btw Rob is on it! He's modding the drip well on my new tumbled raw Grand 3mm; per Crash Moses and Turbocad6, for a Cyclone w/AFC = Cyclops… for $10;

thats what Vicious Ant calls it; thats funny though because a Cyclops has one eye, and AFC top cap has 2 adjustable air holes!!!

hmm… maybe there's other RDA bases that will fit with the lowered drip well and again maybe it needs more than 3mm… i really don't know, but i'm set with that rig and the new kit from Rob… dual coil/airholes means anywhere from .3+ to .5 ohms for sure.

it'll come in handy on top of the oldie i have going with .6 ohms … it hasn't given me trouble other than switching out batt spring (stock) every 4 or 5 months, and filing the pin. nada.
funny that some are getting melted stuff etc…

fwiw i have a Genesis atomizer that has dual coils and air holes (Prometheus) and wowza… .35 ohms unbelievable vapor; flavor is good and most of all its not hot or harsh at all!

I believe this is an optional upgrade. Not a free upgrade.

This will work on all metal grands

was excited to get the reo, reo gets here and an optional 'upgrade' is available soon.

now i'm all impatient and waiting for this to be released. :3

Edit: ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ give subohms

That's totally cool, Uke! What a guy, that Rob, huh? . . . .. ever since I read about grinding down the turtleneck, I've been itching . . .. waiting for any reasonable excuse to do so. So, please report any other attys that now work and bring something to the table! THX

Don't forget to try your AGA-T on there! :p

I don't know how much longer I can wait, my head is going to explode! :p I have a question regarding the upgrade. I'm assuming the upgrade is a new firing pin and spring, and possibly a new button pin contact. I was wondering if Rob will be changing the current repair kits as well with the new parts. This is going to be my first Reo and I will be ordering it along with a repair kit. And one last question, I was looking through the site for the rubber insulators that go on the 510 conenction as well as the pin/stem with rubber gasket that goes into the 510 conenction and couldn;t find them seperately. Was only able to find them on the repair kit. anyone got a link to the parts on rob's website or are they not sold seperately? I might have missed them when browsing.

I probably seem nuts for wanting so many extra parts and not even havign the Reo yet, but this is going to be my first Reo and my permanent setup after I buy it. I've made up my mind and will be using nothing but the Reo Grand and want as many spare parts as possible for repairs and tuneups :)

Rob will answer if you email or even PM him (redeyedancer)…
The new upgraded kit is not ready for sale yet, so i wouldn't order it until then.
Go ahead and order the Reo now (is it a Grand? not sure what other models will the kit be applicable to), but the new upgrade will be installed in all the new Reo's at that time as well but if you want to start now, its a great time for it anyway.

Wow! $10???

That is serious under-charging. I wouldn't bother to get out of bed or lift a finger for 10 bucks...

The kits will be just what you see in a rebuild kit I have in stock at this time . There will be a new positive and negative connection . I cant give a date yet on when I will have them I am still waiting on the prototypes . I did Email the company this morning still haven't got a reply . I will call in the morning and post any info I receive . Unless your vaping under . 5 ohms the grand as is can handle sub ohm vaping . I dont sell the parts separately on the site you are welcome to pm me if you need extra parts

$10 was probably me being easy on the chap but honestly it wont take much effort to mill the juice well down toss the mod in the tumbler with parts that are already being tumbled .

Thank you very much for the reply and information. I don't vape under 5 ohms, the lowest I go is .7 but usually stick to .8-1 ohm. I will definitely be purchasing it sooner than I thought. Still scraping up the cash, halfway there. Want to order it with the RM2 :) Thanks again!

Just FYI, I have 2 minis (14500) and 4 grands. I've never needed "parts" although I did replace a spring ONCE. If you're careful, they are really solidly built and will last about forever. Mine will probably out live me LOL

Thats good to hear! I've seen the grand in person and even used it once from a friend of a friend. It felt really solid and to my surprise wasn't as big as I thought it would be. Once I vaped on it I was sold. It looked really sleek and well built. It looks like it can survive the apocalypse. I'm just the type of person that needs to have a contigency plan. I'm pretty sure nothing will fail but in the event that it does, I'd like to have any spare part available for immediate DIY repair. Helps me sleep better at night LOL. Thanks for the input.

the offer was to mill before choosing a finish; i just like the tumbled raw look; and i chose a black silver vein door…
