I'm going to check out the Oshkosh UBake in hopes of finding the elusive cheesecake flavoring.

The Granary in Appleton has a decent selection of LorAnn's (no cheesecake though). They also have a variety of delicious chocolate chips... I haven't tried the dark chocolate hot cocoa mix I bought there yet.

The Wire Whisk usually has LorAnn's, I was told, but they were out when I was there. They directed me to the granary. I did get an AeroPress while there, and I must say that it truly does make an exceptional cup of coffee... unfortunately it's also helping to show me the mediocre nature of the whole bean coffee that's available around here. I'd kill for some Peet's coffee.

Lyndale- if you want Cheesecake flavoring and can't find it, I've got a dram bottle - I tried DIY a while back, and the cheesecake just never really thrilled me.

That would be awesome. It worked well with strawberry for me, but then I tried it with cherry in the same ratio... cherry is a bit strong. I want to get a working cherry cheesecake recipe going, and a caramel cheesecake recipe... so I'll probably wind up driving up LorAnn's stock prices and profits with how much cheesecake flavoring I'll probably wind up ordering in the future.

i love The Wire Whisk but they are SO expensive!!! 70 bucks for a tea kettle! if you are looking for excellent coffee, i would recommend ordering kona coffee. its about $20 - 30 a pound depending on who you order from but its worth it.

can we have a meeting for DYI for dummies?

Now that's an excellent idea - kind of a basic 'how to' guide....

That can certainly be the topic at the Jan meeting....Lyndale, we still set for your area for January? I know it's still early, and we've got the holidays, but the sooner we can nail down dates, times, locations, the better turnout we'll get 'cause people can schedule things out.

I think I can make this one, considering I live in Oshkosh...

Well, if you don't make this one.... we'll be skipping the DIY seminar and going out to hunt down the guy with the Chuck with the rebel flag :D

Either date works for me, Lyndale....this far in advance I can schedule things out fairly easy....hopefully I'll be able to bring the Wicked Chuck along for the ride (I don't have it yet, but I'm WORSE than a kid at Christmas with the antsyies!!!)

I;m getting stoked about this, guys....had a blast at the last meeting, and can't wait for the next. We might have to do a little SFW bashing, tho....damn hard core anti's right in our backyard!!!
