q, I think you are thinking of the Prodigy or the Screwdriver, the stick is not a modified flashlight. Different design....

Hi, ejfan,

Actually, the Prodigy is not based on a flashlight, although it looks like it somewhat in the CAD drawings at their website. In general, all custom PVs will be a box (Janty Stick) or a tube (Magnum, Prodigy). In the Prodigy's case, there's a tube, two end plates, a switch panel, and either a 901 or 801 adapter. All are made/machined purposefully for the device. I ordered a Prodigy because I'm turning into a battery fiend, but the Stick is certainly a good-looking bit of hardware.

Ah OK, lemme add to it: box, rectangle, triangle, cube, cylinder, dodechahedron... whatever... Anyway ya spin it it's a battery holder with a switch. Which is fine, but it is what it is.

Anything that will provide a more consistant voltage for a longer period of time and get rid of those obnoxious micro controllers and cheap-... air pressure switch is a step in the right direction IMHO. I have to admit though, the prices crack me up, $10 worth of parts, maybe 15 minutes to assemble tops..... If there were R&D to cover on the back-side I'd get it, .......

Yes, because all of us know which kind of steel tubing to buy, have the capability of sanding the steel with the correct abrasive, and then can assemble the pieces together. We also all have soldering skills and understand the electrical concepts to keep from burning down our houses.

Why the heck do people pay $20k for a car that costs 5k to produce?

If you have the skills to use alternatives and create your own, please do. Hell, be like the rest of the people and actually create something and sell it. It's like paying $5.00 for a pound of hamburger and realizing that you can raise and kill one cow for less-than $40.00 and get far more meat. But the bottom line is you don't have that skill or resource, so you pay others to do it for you.

Of course, this is all simple economics. I'm in computers...when it comes to computer repair, I can fix my computer for under $40.00 in parts and less-than 15 minutes in time. But many others can't...because that is not their profession.

Got my stick yesterday! Used it for 8 hours before had to change battery, this thing is great! They messed up my order and I had to wait an extra week to get it but it was worth it. They even threw in some extra carts for the trouble. Thanks Janty for the stick, and thanks Ethan for the quick response to the problems with my order. I am now very happy!

Come on dude....do you want me to come in here and start preaching about how stupid *you* are for paying for your operating system (Windows or Mac) to use your computer? Or how dumb it is for Microsoft and Macintosh to create Operating Systems when free ones are available?

Or how about the car you drive? Why the hell did you pay $20k for a car that costs 5k to produce?

+1..............You nailed it. Give that man a cigar! I have been in banking and finance for 20+ years. I can talk all day about derivatives, spread, P&E ratios, etc..............Just because you can't doesn't make you an idiot. Hell, I can barely change a lightbulb without causing a nuclear meltdown. That's OK, I'll handle the stuff I can, and hire the rest done. Maybe I can hire q258 to fix my dishwasher or something...........

My order #4481. I sent few e mails. So far no tracking email, no stick. I read some previous posts about getting stick, but it would be nice to include the order number. At least I could know if mine is not skipped.

4605 here and I got mine yesterday. Also placed an order for another one on Monday and I expect it tomorrow from the tracking information I have. It was shipped on Friday.

I am really ...... now:evil:. Nobody responded to my email and on the website I could not find contact form either. There is one link buried on shipping or return page, but there should be clear tab with contact information. Again my order 4481.

Can ANYBODY from Janty hear me???
