Had my stick for 5 days, it started leaking today. To be fair, I did have a lot of liquid in it, so I suspect it was related to that.
I am using only Johnson Creek VG liquid, vaping PG burns my throat.
The first couple of days were fine. But it seems to be a juice burner. I started getting the dreaded burnt filler taste about every third drag or so, it just became more prevalent and more random even with a freshly topped cartridge.
Changed to a new cartridge, cut off the bottom 1/4 of filler and added the straw mod, filled with JC Vanilla. That was working better for a couple of days, but still get a burned hit once in a while. That is about enough for me to stop using this stick, I cannot take that taste burning my throat and who knows what it is doing to my lungs.
I have kept at it, going easy on the drags just in case it might be a dry run. Then got the big leak today. No way to easily clean it either, I soaked up all I could and have been carrying it around in a paper towel diaper all day to keep gradually absorbing the overflow from the LED/USB.
Something else that has been coming and going -- I get a big !pop! once in a while on first pressing the switch. This was happening a lot when I first started using it, is less now but still happens occasionally. Like a bubble of fluid built up in the atomizer, and ignites with a bang. Certainly interrupts the mellow draw.
Well the batteries last forever, and I like the size and format. The cartridge size is good, but still have to regulate the liquid level a lot and keep topping off. So it is fussy like the Dura-C in that regard.
Anyone recommend a PV that doesn't have to continually be topped off, and doesn't leak all over me? Does the SD do better at this? Would changing to Fluval filler help?
