Please do Rorschach, I think it has a good throat kick. It is better than a 901 batt and on par with the throat kick I get from the SD.

Frank...I was contemplating getting a 901 SD; although, have the JS. Is the amount of vapor, flavor, and throat hit comparible on the 901 adaptor for the stick as to the SD? If so, I'll just purchase the 901 adaptor and save myself some cash!! Thanks for any input.

Well, for $20 it's hard to beat. If it were me, I'd order the adapter. The throat-kick, vapor and flavor is the same as my SD. For the price of one SD you could buy another JS, an adapter, atomizers, carts and liquid. Bottom line, I'd buy the adapter and if my stick had any issues, that's what the warranty is there for.

When they come out with the 510 adapters I think I'll give it try -
I currently only own the stick and the KBC - I've puffed on the Stick just about constantly from the moment the mail man got here with it yesterday - I know I lack the ability to compare -But - The Stick with the KBC atty in it feels stronger on the back of my throat than my analog American Spirits ever did - Seems like about twice as much throat hit as the KBC was giving me already - Not sure if I want more throat hit but extra flavor is always welcomed - How much more throat hit/flavor does the 901 give the Stick on a scale of 1-10? And how would you compare the 901 and the 510 on those issues without the Stick in the picture? Assuming that difference will carry over to the adapted application.

Why do they call it Stick? Looks more like a Pod to me. I'm calling mine the J-Pod! Seems a more descriptive term. Avoiding troubles with Apple?:) (off topic humorous remark not an actual question - use only for entertainment purposes - offer void where prohibited by law)

It looks a bit like a lighter - or a mobile phone for babes-in-arms - or a snuff box with a tail...

But seriously I think the more adapters the better as it will then serve more vaping "styles". As long as the KBC remains the "default" I'll be a happy vaper!:)

The degree and definition of throat kick is such a loaded topic because it all comes down to personal preference. I will say that most people think the 510 has a greater throat kick than the 801 and the 901. I think the 901 is somewhere in the middle of the 510 and the 801, probably closer to the 510 side of the scale. Although I will say I have had some 801 and KBC atomizers that had a hell of a kick.

    Impression after 1st day:

Holy S**T - This thing rocks!!!

I got about 6 hours out of a cart I filled before leaving for the office!!!!

I swapped out the battery at the same time, as it was just starting to lose full power....

If this performance keeps up - WWOW...

I used to carry 4 batteries, and 2 bottles of juice and top off every 8 - 10 drags using my 901...

    AMAZING!!!

Had my stick for 5 days, it started leaking today. To be fair, I did have a lot of liquid in it, so I suspect it was related to that.

I am using only Johnson Creek VG liquid, vaping PG burns my throat.

The first couple of days were fine. But it seems to be a juice burner. I started getting the dreaded burnt filler taste about every third drag or so, it just became more prevalent and more random even with a freshly topped cartridge.

Changed to a new cartridge, cut off the bottom 1/4 of filler and added the straw mod, filled with JC Vanilla. That was working better for a couple of days, but still get a burned hit once in a while. That is about enough for me to stop using this stick, I cannot take that taste burning my throat and who knows what it is doing to my lungs.

I have kept at it, going easy on the drags just in case it might be a dry run. Then got the big leak today. No way to easily clean it either, I soaked up all I could and have been carrying it around in a paper towel diaper all day to keep gradually absorbing the overflow from the LED/USB.

Something else that has been coming and going -- I get a big !pop! once in a while on first pressing the switch. This was happening a lot when I first started using it, is less now but still happens occasionally. Like a bubble of fluid built up in the atomizer, and ignites with a bang. Certainly interrupts the mellow draw.

Well the batteries last forever, and I like the size and format. The cartridge size is good, but still have to regulate the liquid level a lot and keep topping off. So it is fussy like the Dura-C in that regard.

Anyone recommend a PV that doesn't have to continually be topped off, and doesn't leak all over me? Does the SD do better at this? Would changing to Fluval filler help?
