Folks,

There seems to be an issue with the ohm setting on the dura adapters. Essentially the ohm setting is currently set too low for the battery the stick is using. The factory has assured us this will be corrected immediately and new adapters will be on the way.

I will post again when I have a better idea of when they will arrive. Obviously anybody that purchased an adapter will receive a new updated version as soon as they arrive.

Our apologize for the troubles as I know many have been waiting a long time for these (including myself). If you have any questions please email me at info@jantyusa.com

Thanks,
Jeff

This is good news. Do we need to do anything special to receive the new adapters? I, myself, was kinda disappointed and was hoping there was some type of break-in that will burn off. It's good to see that it is a resistance issue and new ones will be issued.

Do I need to do anything?

Nothing cryptic about it, I transfer money into paypal last week.

A pm on these forums, yeah i could have sent one, but a trouble ticket from janty website I could not fill it out at all. The help button on the janty site forces you once again to join the "club".

Now are you guys saying paypal is refusing to do business with janty?

Did paypal drop you?

I had no problems ordering from their site. I blame the ID 10 T error on your issue. Sorry, you're getting to that point where I must point out the issue you have as a user error.

The error probably sits between the chair and the keyboard.

FYI, running Ubuntu 8.04 with FF 3 here.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I have a pretty much BRAND NEW stick and I use the holster all the time. On bottom of the front of the unit the silver paint is rubbing off the corners from using the holster. It makes my otherwise perfect stick look like crap. Ive only had the thing for a couple of weeks, and haven't even used it as my primary rig either. I can only imagine if i was pulling it in and out of the holstter 100 rtimes a day what it would look like.
Yeah. My stick was only used in the holster for 3 days before the paint started coming off. I love the Stick's functionality, and the belt clip's great - it can hold essentially a days worth of stuff for me if I keep an extra cart in one pocket and the extra battery in the other. But the crappy paint job's a big minus IMO. The only minus AFAICT, but still a big one.

Thanks for the tips so far, all. I got a silver sharpie to try touch ups with. I'll see how that goes soon.

Hello,

I'm not a stick user, but I am looking for an 801 compatible (Joye 302) atomizer for my VP1. After hearing about the 6 month warranty on the Janty Classic attys, I'm interested in possibly trying them out.

I did the math, and here's what I came up with:

If I buy 2 of these warranty atomizers at $17 each, I will conceptually have 6 month worth of attys for $34. If one starts to drop off or dies, I would send it back to Janty for a replacement. I'd have the 2nd atty to use while I wait for them to replace the one I sent for the warranty swap.

In comparison, if I were to buy 6 months worth of atomizers anywhere else, I'd likely get about 2 weeks of use out of each. So, I'd need about 12 attys to last through the 6 month period. At about $8 each, this would cost me $96 for 6 months.

Using this warranty plan looks like it would cost about $60 less per 6 month period, which almost seems too good to be true.

Is anyone going this route? Am I missing something here? Please share your experiences with the Jany warranty atomizer deal if you don't mind. ;-)

Thanks!
