My husband wrecked the button on our Dish remote. $50 to replace! He always used his thumbnail to depress the buttons, instead of the pad on his thumb. His thumb is pretty big, I think that's why he did that, so he didn't touch the adjoining buttons....
The little post underneath got scewed so it wouldn't push straight in anymore, I wonder if this switch is configured the same. I always use my thumb flat on the button, haven't had a problem, but I'm not about to un-stick the switch assmbly to find out what the post underneath looks like. Could this be a "guy" thing?

No - it does not feel like that - it feel more like a little dimpled piece of copper - I always hold it down flat - It will often cut off in mid flow with pressure still applied constant - they just got some buggy ones

my janty stick doesnt charge via usb cable. so i went to radio shack with proper voltage info from the user manual via this forum, and bought a battery charger so i could get them charged and use the stick. And It still flashes 5 times (red) every time i take a puff. so i guess my switch is toast? Is there a special sweet spot that I should be pushing, at least I've read. I tried talking sweet to it and occasionally it will let me have one small vaped drag and than flash again.......I guess I will be sending it back when the v2 gets here?!?!?!

great to hear - I still haven't been able to get a good answer on the percentage of buttons having the issue - Fingers crossed that my replacement will be a good one :)

OK - got my new stick in last week - Same as the first one - First 4 days GREAT! - Then rapidly declining performance - Exactly the same trouble and time frame as the first one - Looks like a 4 day switch to me - LOL - -

Does anyone know if the V2 Stick has a NEW SWITCH?

I will say that my stick is not leaking though. just a bad switch :(
i just filed a request with janty.

Well needless to say right now its not even working.
I but everything together the way I thought?
The atomizer screwed right in, and the battery was easy to install.
Put the cartridge in and I puffed about 20 different times adn got nothing at all.
Not even the slightest bit of smoke.
After my frusteration I went to take the atomizer out to take a look and see if that was maybe what was wrong, and now I've been trying to get the atomizer out for like a half an hour.
I'm new to teh Janty Stick, so I;m probably doing something really stupid.
    Anyone got any advice?

Man... I'm so bummed out. I couldn't wait for this thing, and now I get it and it can;t even work. :(
    Very dissappointed.
    Bad initial impression.

I won't go so far as to say that it's impossible, but it sure is hard to get the atomizer out without a cartridge cap in the atomizer.

Try putting a tight-fitting cartridge cap on the atomizer and then twisting. It seems counter-intuitive, but I PUSH as I twist and then once I feel movement, I start to pull as I twist. Make sense?

Wow.... I really don't know what I did. Gary J, I tried turning it more, and it didn't work, so I started to take it out adn un srew adn I accidentally hit the button and it hissed at me!
I knew then that the atomizer was working. Took a hit and got beautiful clouds of vapor.
Very impressed now, just took about an hour of tinkering and freaking out haha.
    Thanks for the help everyone!

Now that I got it working I can give a moderatlly decent review on it.

    Lets get started...
Everything seemed fairly simple to put together, except for the confusion with the atomizer, but after I got that set in, I've taken like 10 drags off it and man!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful clouds of vapor. Its a much nicer thinker smoke than my 510.
The Throat hit on it is a little weak, but thats because I'm used to my 510, and that thing really packs a wallop. Having a little less of a throat hit isn't always bad though, it feels as if I'm smoking a hookah.
I'm still getting a decent amount of flavor out of the JS V2. About just as much as my 510 I would say. I know some people said that tehy lost some flavor, but so far it seems excellent.
I also don't get that plastic taste like some people were saying.
Its also Drip ready, which seems to work really well, better than my 510 I would almost say.
I was also reallly suprised with the size.
The pictures are really misleading haha. I thought it was gonna be, well... bigger than it was. Its about 4mm I would say smaller than my 510!
I like the portability of it, and the ability to smoke at my computer desk now, while it is charging!
    Overall, so far I'm impressed.
Shipping was also very fast 2 days!
I take back what I said early, I was just frusterated and I thought I got sent a bad atomizer or something.
I've been eagerly waiting for this thing for like 2 weeks now haha.
I'll update this again later with more input, and I will probably do a much more in depth video review of both my 510 and the Janty Stick V2, since I should be finally receiving my web cam today!
