I bought the Silver Bullet.

I got tired of waiting to hear about what this will be, or what that is, and how great it is BUT don't know when I can buy one let alone can't even get any info about it-sooo I went ahead and bought something that I know exists and know what I will get. This oh its a big secret and can't say anything about it is BS. All of these e-cigs have these basic parts: a battery (power source)-a heating element (atomizer) and a liquid holder. If you develop something new and revolutionary and find a way to replace one of those three parts-ok keep it a secret- if not it shouldn't be secret. This isn't a very smart business strategy- the nany nany boo boo I have something you cant have and I won't even tell you what it is- isn't sitting well with me. So instead I went and got something else- I got tired of waiting on something I have no idea about because its Janty. Yes I probably will still get the new models- however there is a chance I might not as well. I used to be all about Janty. I have 3 Kissbox kits, a stick and numerous other accessories, but after all of this I don't feel the same way about Janty.

EDIT: I almost deleted this post, then I thought why should I? This is how I feel. I love Janty and its products and thats why I considered deleting this. I guess I don't really like how things have been handled the last couple of months- I guess its really none of my business what they do and how they do it- but this is my opinion.

All of these e-cigs have these basic parts: a battery (power source)-a heating element (atomizer) and a liquid holder..

Actually, if theyre a product made for a consumer with their safety in mind, they also have a PCB - which will make sure there is a cutoff ( so it does not activate by mistake ) and in other ways try to prevent damage to the user by wrong use.

And you also forget that its not only about what you put in the e-cigarette, its also about how it looks - the thoughts that are put into the design of it, the feel, maybe new clever ways of making stuff rest in your hand, etc. Theres alot of stuff that can easily be copied, so whats the point in being first with something new, post a picture of it before it goes into production, and then see another company running off with the honors, because they produced it first?

This isnt kindergarten - ofcourse we have to adhere to certain rules when it comes to what we post and when we do post it, but at the same time we wanted to reach out and try to interact with the community.

If we cant tell you about upcoming stuff, and we shouldnt touch the past ( such as the jantystick problem back then ), then what do we have left?

There is only so much to cover on the topic of liquids - or smoking habits.

And as for everything else you said; Congratulations on your purchase, i hope you like it. I dont blame you for buying something other than Janty - i myself own alot of products from all over the world - i like to experiment and see what others are doing. I do still use my Janty products over the other ones i bought, not out of loyalty, but because they simply do work better.

Thats my experience - and i wish you luck in finding out what your experience tells you, whatever the outcome will be.

The following info can be changed at ANY point in time, by Janty. By posting this info we are not telling you that this product will look like this, or have these specs, we are merely telling you what we are working on - and what we are hoping for it to contain / and look like.

If you have ideas for functionality, or comments about the design - please let us know - who knows, maybe we will integrate your idea into this one.

If there are things you dont like, please feel free to tell us - at the same time, i also encourage everyone to "be nice" and lets get a good discussion going!

The idea behind it:

The basics of The Cameo, is to hide what it is. At work, in the bus, at a play, we want people to be able to have their vaping device with them; but also to be able to hide what it infact is.

We integrated an mp3 player because we thought it would be fun to do so - and at the same time it also provides the USB function, giving the user the ability to have 8gb of portability with them where ever they go.

Also, we know alot of our customers are in transit alot of the day; many of you have an mp3 player with you - this way, you dont have to carry your mp3 player + your e-cigarette and what else. So basically, it could help making every day transit a bit easier for you - and once you are at work, you will be able to have it on your desk, charging, while you use it to listen to some music with (or sneak in a vape when nobodys watching.. who are we to judge!) - or take some work home on the USB drive with you.

So, heres the Cameo..

*deep breath*

cameoblack2009.jpg

The specs, providing we can produce this the way we want to, is going to be:

8 GB internal space - this can be used as a USB drive - for storing music, or whatever you want on.

Built in speaker on the back, for listening to music

Built-in mini-jack, for headphone listening

Built in USB charger (also on the back) - for easy charging

Batteries will be 2x E-Cigar batteries, giving a total of approximate 720 mAH - running at 3.7 volt

The atomizer will be a dura (510) atomizer

The atomizer will be fully retractable

There will also be a built in function that enables you to see how many puffs you take on daily, weekly, monthly basis.

At the moment we are still working hard with making the internal structure of the Cameo as smooth as possible. But as you can figure out theres alot of parts in this one, and we want everything to be just right before we launch it.

I know Ludo is going to visit the factory on the 29th of september, and ive asked him to take some pictures of the initial prototype version - assuming they have this one ready by then (I was going to get one for testing, but someone.. .. *mumble* broke the display on it, so .. i dont have one yet *snif*)

And as for the Cameo competition, the correct answers from the picture was

"A built in mp3 player, and a fully retractable atomizer" - a few of you came close on one of them, but noone had both! ;)

So - yes, very exciting i think, but what do you think?

/Mik

And here is a small part of the manual for you.. *cough*

.. i hope..that .. helps you a bit. ;)

WOW! People that see me with my JStick always joke it should have an MP3 player and/or camera in it or even that it looks a bit like the 007 cell phone.

But a REAL MP3 player.....not for me :(
LOVE LOVE LOVE the dual batt
Would rather have the 801 atty - that I've ban stocked.

I guess I'm just getting old and un-hip (HA! assuming I was ever hip)

Make it without the mp3, and I just may buy it.
It looks smooth and comfortable in the hand, but not only does the mp3 seem unnecessary, but I would doubt the quality of it, I am sure the built in speaker isn't worth listening to and I wouldn't want to waste precious battery power.

Does it take standard carts?
I'd rather have seen the effort (and case space) put into doing away with carts and developing some quality integrated juice delivery system.
Function over flash for me, but I am more of a Levi's a zippo man, as opposed to designs on my jeans and LED's in my lighter - I prefer quality and ingenuity over flashy trinkets.

I'd much rather have something I can pick up in the morning and take with me all day without having to bring any supplies with me to support it/charge it/refill it and have it function consistently all day.

All that said, it is a damned good-looking device.

This works.

*a very vocal majority prefer the 510 when using 3.7V, me included
*Stealth vaping is more about the device being able to sit on your desk or ride in a holster or being in your hand without drawing suspicion than anything else. Other than making it part cellphone, an MP3 player is one of the few things it could look like.
*The extra space provided is gravy. Having an extra DVD's worth of space could be convenient at some point even if you don't use it all the time.
*Nail the button action on this one, and make it very durable and it will sell. Those two things are what is going to decide if it's genius or merely novelty.

You have my full attention.

oh no, i thought someone from janty made you to edit your posts, but it was only someone that tries to interfere. mik, don't give a damn on them.
i have posted my opinion on the twinbox too. but once and i think in a still respectful manner.

i was really glad that someone from janty started again being a bit more communicative than others in the past, and i hoped you may teach them that it pays someday off to do so.
this really shows, me at least, that you care for the products you work on and a little bit maybe for the customers.

i wish that you don't stop posting like you did in the last weeks, please

buti will respect your discision if you don't :)

OK, where's the keyboard? JUST KIDDING!

Don't need another MP3 player. I'm with one_raven, make it a better vapor stick, forget the bells/whistles...cheapens it. Stick with making this the best vapor stick out there.

Where is the button? I like the square design better, the Janty Stick I just received is the perfect shape. It feels perfect in my hand!

All shiny silver metal would be beautiful.

Please don't use the word 'Smoke' (or 'cigarette') anywhere on or in it...use something like "Vapor" instead. I'm trying to get as far away from anything 'smoke' as I can. "Smoke" is yucky....this stick is not.

What'll the price-tag be?

Thank you so much for working so hard to improve the best PV yet. I LOVE that the long stick is hidden!!! (By 'fully retractable' does that mean even the mouthpiece can be hidden?)

Very creative. (that's the easy part)

Is this what customers want though?
Have you conducted market research ?

The retractable atty is useful.
The rest is neither here nor there, just adding cost.
It will be a normal 510 3.7 vaping experience like the JS.

I don't care how many puffs i take a day...especially since I'm using different devices, so will never really know.

Basically, the Cameo will tell you how many puffs you take on it, until it breaks down, or starts having a problem...not a good feature i think.

Sorry to be so harsh, but if you knew what my job consisted of, you would understand.

I think the returns on this unit will be horrendous.
Focus on Vaping...let the pros like Apple do the rest.

Maybe I am mistaken...we shall see.
