This one looks nice -
and no one will wonder what's up when they see me sucking on an mp3 player. ;)

Just wondering - are the bats going to run $2-$4 and last for 3-5 months?
Are they capable of powering something besides an 'e-cig'.... just in case shipping gets a bit more challenging?

this would appear to be a nice looking USB P/T with ability to 'unplug'.

since it was mentioned in the OP
Closer... but no cigar.

Hey - it's great to see actual prototypes.. helps us know if we should stash our cash for future purchases with Janty.

Hey!

Well the batteries will cost more than usual, since a battery means the battery house + usb inside. I suspect we are going to do a warranty on them, and ofcourse also use quality batteries.

But we have to wait and see - we might change our minds and end up providing access to the battery. For now thats not the case though!

Regarding a ban, im not sure how they would prevent you from ordering a battery house for what is clearly your electrical toothbrush? :D

And yes the size and reminiscence of an actual cigar is intentional - cigars look great, and feel great. If anyone of you have one of the Janty big TAWC's, this is the same length right now, and the same width. Ofcourse the fact that it slopes up, will make it appear much smaller.

I have a prototype next to me now, without the USB and a different cap + small changes, meaning its a bit shorter (1.5cms) and it _really_ doesnt feel big.

While interesting, I think I would prefer something like the Cameo, personally.

But thanks for sharing with us. :)

Yes, I am quoting myself, get over it. :p

Ok, maybe I was a little hasty on my initial post. The more I look at it, the more I can see myself buying one just for the look of the unit. (with a 510 adapter, of course) It looks kinda... classy.

Question, would an adapter change the look of the unit in any way?

Muhaha. My curse works. Ehr.. i mean..

The plan is for the Baby J to look the same regardless of adapter type!

a 800/1000mah battery is better than 2x 360mah, i would buy the baby j as a replacement of the stick.
it's a bit longer but who does care?
i would feel more comfortable using this in public than my JS, the stick make me feel like an alien..

Even if we were to start off with a 600 mAH ( there might be trouble getting quality 800 / 1000 mAH batteries in a proper size ) this would still be feelable over the JS, due to the higher peak voltage being sustained for a longer period of time.

And i dont know about you, but my JS lasts me a good 3-5 hours and i use it quite frequently - so a pessimistic bid on the duration of this one on 600 mAH would be 4-7 hours. Which should be more than enough for anyone i believe.

I mean if youre at work and you suck a 600 mAH battery dry in less than 5 hours, you are not working anyways.. :D

But im still hoping for the 800 / 1000 mAH option to go through!

Gee, thanks Mik. You know, if you keep making me want to buy the new stuff you have coming out, my wife is going to start really hating you. She thinks I already spend to much on PV stuff, lol.

Note to self: start creating wife-friendly PV's. Built in alarms, calender with to-do lists all managed by wife's cell phone using push technology, and gps tracking system keeping you in place.

Note to self#2: bad idea. Bad idea! BAD IDEA!

So, is this the thread for gathering input/suggestions? Personally, I'd like to know how Janty will improve on the stick design. I love the side by side. Better button, better sealing, improved atty connection, improved battery cover, perhaps some fine tuning on the shape with respect to ergonomics, better draw, things like that. I think there's a lot of mileage in this design, now that we've found the weak points...
