Kelemvor: I know, but if people are able to put in their own battery we might have to rethink the USB setup. But it can be done - i am looking into it.

Vsca: As it is now its the same lenght and width of an e-cigar. Which i believe most people will not only find acceptable, but hopefully in this design much nicer to look at than .. other equivalent types of e-cigarettes.

If we do put a 5v/6v on there, it would simply be a bit fatter - or a bit longer. And this would be something that the user him/herself decides to do. I am trying to find the right battery for this and seeing how we can do it: When i find a solution ill try to draw it up so you have an idea of what a highpower battery house could look like when attached!

The lenght of it is 15cms, the diameter is approx 18mm.

While i do realise this might seem long, you have to remember that it incorporates alot of technology - AND the end result is no bigger than a traditional cigar. Which alot of people like ;)

But ill get back to you all on this also - and do a size comparison with real world objects so you can see. Trust me, it doesnt look that big because of the lines, or diameter of it.

To be honest man that sounds absolutely fine in scale. if somehow you could try and make it 6V or 5V (preferably both) as well as 3.7 you WILL be getting an order from me. just try your hardest to not make it fatter or it will look like just another mod, which is fine, but this thing is a beauty. it would be a shame to ruin it :D

in which case i am vary sure this product will be more than popular. may even become one of those must have PVs like the 510.

Are you thinking more 6 or 5V as a high volt option?

(i vote 6)

I actually think 5v is better. Im not saying you should do this, but IF you are to hook an atomizer directly to 5v - and one directly to 6v, you will find that the 5v vapes extremely nice - and for a long period of time, where as the 6v often tends to get a burnt taste every now and then.

And between 5v and 6v, i dont really taste a big difference.

Depends on the atomizer really. I prefer BE112's at 5V unless I can adjust the airflow, and I actually prefer the Janty TAWA's at six over five. I prefer DSE901's at five volts, and I prefer RN4075's at six. RN4081's are absolutely amazing at six volts. I keep hearing about this 4.5v or barely over 4 volt sweet spot with certain atomizers, and I may have to put something together to play with that also.

Also, this PV looks sweet. Come up with a 4+ volt option or higher and I'll have to try it.

Looks good Mik!! Once again I applaude Janty for innovating!!

I like it. But the two turn offs for me are the 801 atty/cart (you know I can't seem to get this damn system to work!), would rather a 510 or do like Pure Smoker - make two models to select from. Also wonder why you can't make a reomovable off-the-shelf batt like the JS. You could still have the housing and the usb electronics in the housing.

Just my .02.

BTW - I just took delivery on my JS. Are you guys coming out with an updated model!!?? Hate to think I missed a major upgrade by a few weeks. You guys are getting like Apple!!

yeah but at 6V it makes more vapor, doesn't it (i've never tried a 5V, so im no expert)

Regarding a ban, im not sure how they would prevent you from ordering a battery house for what is clearly your electrical toothbrush? :D

/Mik

I hate to bring this up again, but this should not be the attitude of a major e-cig industry player(Hiding their product to avoid customs detection). To insinuate something like this really diminishes your credibilty as a legitimate business. We're sinking back into what drug cartels do to hide something "illegal". Again, this should not be our industry outlook. I'm sure the ECA would have major problems with a statement like this. If you truly want to have an item that has no issues, then incorporate a true dual function battery(as most other mods do) into the design. As we agreed yesterday , this may not be the appropriate thread, so this will be my final word, but it distresses me to see this theme continuing to pop-up.

I think your idea is great and I applaud your courage to fight this out internally and go ahead with it given new product launches are the most secretive part of most companies.

But I hope you have a strategy for dealing with folks who are overcritical, never satisfied, persistently negative and can argue days about the most trivial things, and this sort of thing can seriously consume bandwidth when designing a product or taking it to market.

Plus the element of surprise, the endless speculation before a launch, these have their own dynamic and provide good marketing for free. And its fun too. I will definitely be following this closely to see how this goes.

The above comment with the toothbrush was a joke. It had a smiley next to it.

This thread is for discussing a product, and its possibilites. If you have any ideas or suggestions about it, we would love to hear it. If you are only going to rant about how we operate as a business - then make a new thread.

And notice, im saying this politely, and asking you politely - so please respond accordingly - but please dont write an a4 page in this thread regarding this answer. If you have an issue with me personally, or with Janty as a company, feel free to mail me or Ludo - we will be happy to respond you.
